After his one year at Duke I was convinced AJ's shooting was a fluke and he'd either bomb in the NBA or he'd have to take a couple of years to completely rework his shot. His mechanics looked terrible to me. I thought it was just a case of a small sample size of AJ shooting threes in college and a lot of luck. But he's at 40% with nearly 200 attempts in the NBA from 3, so, once again, shows what I knows. Hopefully he (and Jalen Johnson) will continue to get more and more minutes with the Hawks.

Grayson Allen had 12 points in a 124-115 win over Charlotte. Mason Plumlee had a double-double—14 points and 14 rebounds—in the loss.
Jayson Tatum led Boston with 31 points and nine rebounds in a 139-96 win over Brooklyn. Kyrie Irving led the Nets with 20 points in the loss.
Austin Rivers had 10 points in a 119-114 win over Golden State.
RJ Barrett led the NY Knicks with 30 points and eight rebounds in a 106-104 win over Miami.
I can't wait to see BI, Zion, and McCollum together. It's got to feel good as a coach to have three dominant bucket getters ready for the last couple minutes of the fourth quarter.

Paolo Banchero had 11 points and eight rebounds in a 127-120 win over Minnesota.
Brandon Ingram led New Orleans with 35 points in a 131-126 win over the LA Lakers.
Grayson Allen had 19 points (4-of-7) from 3 in a 123-115 win over Miami.
I love when fans say the OAD’s don’t really care about Duke.
Paolo Banchero led Orlando with 22 points and 10 rebounds and Wendell Carter, Jr. added 20 and 12 in a 119-113 win over Charlotte. Mason Plumlee had 10 points and nine rebounds in the loss.
Gary Trent, Jr. scored 10 points in a 106-103 win over Memphis.
Jayson Tatum scored 34 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and added six assists in a 111-99 win over Detroit.
RJ Barrett scored 15 points in a 102-98 win over Orlando. Paolo Banchero had 16 points and eight rebounds and Wendell Carter, Jr. added 13 in the loss.
Brandon Ingram led New Orleans with 30 points and eight assists in a 116-107 win over Atlanta.
Gary Trent, Jr. scored 18 points and added five rebounds in a 112-98 win over San Antonio.
Kyrie Irving scored 24 points and added five assists in a 110-104 win over the LA Clippers.
Rumor is Gary Trent Jr. is going to get traded to the Lakers. Would be cool for him to get that sort of exposure. And his shooting would be a huge plus for that mediocre team.
Luke Kennard to the Grizzlies. He'll be playing with Tyus. Excited for him, things weren't working out well with the Clippers lately.
Edit: And in tangentially Duke-related-news, Orlando is trading Mo Bamba. They had a log jam of young centers behind Wendell Carter, with Bamba, Bol Bol and Mo Wagner. Not a surprise one of the guys behind Wendell got traded. Hopefully this is a good sign that the Magic think Wendell is their center of the future. That team has a TON of young talent and not too many large contracts. They could make some waves in the next couple of years.
