We understand, it would be great situation for Duke and Keels if he did end up staying another year. Keels can build on what he needs to work on and be lead role and improve his draft stock. Plus Foster can stay in his original class and not have to reclassify. It would help keep 2023 class strong and he can continue recruiting players he wants to play with. Really hope this all happens.

If Keels comes back, my concerns immediately shift to an inexperienced frontcourt that will have to deal with Bacot etc. at least 2-3 times during the season. I can't see Lively handling him (and other experienced wide bodies) by himself.

Dream come true may be overstating it They’re not supermodels more like the girl next door
Ha. Fine. I may have gone a little overboard. But with the YOUNG talent coming in, having two returning ballhandlers with experience and talent would be a huge relief.

If Keels returns do you think Duke will need another guard? If Blake’s can spell Roach and Schutt contribute, I would think they can play DW some at the SG. That would be a tall lineup w Keels, DW, Mitchell, Flip and Lively. Like to see them play some 1-2-2 zone w DW up top.

If Keels returns I wouldn’t look for a backcourt transfer unless it’s one that just loves Duke . The front court I agree will need atleast one more experienced big.

If Keels returns that solves several of our problems. But with Bascot returning we need more beef in the frontcourt.
What several of Dukes problem Chris? I know it solves a sophomore sg and Whitehead staying at sf . Seriously asking not picking . I think Dukes biggest issues are like you’ve stated a Theo John type big to help prepare the front court. Duke needs experience but it’s going to be a hard sale to get players out of the portal.

Well it solves some strength, defensive and experience issues in the backcourt. Keels is an NBA talent with final four experience. And the kind of player who would blow up his second year
I agrees. If he looses some body fat and picks up his speed he can be unstoppable next to Roach . Especially if Roach works on his shooting . His attacking the basket is already great.

Not worried about Bascot.
Armando Bascot. We’ve got to come up with a classic nickname for this classic tool although I’d take him on my team anytime. I just like the way he plays. If Rick Mahorn can have a successful NBA career I’m guessing fish face can as well but the NBA won’t tolerate enforcers anymore in this softer more pc era

Mid way through the season Baker said he was dealing with a nagging injury and an ankle injury . From the look of him it kept him out at the end of season .
