Mark Williams ACC POY?

Honest question, why has he gotten zero hype at all for this? He leads the ACC in Blocks, TS% (by 5%), PER, WS/40, and BPM. I mean he should seriously win both POY and DPOY in the ACC. I get Paolo gets all the national media hype, but Mark has been the best player in the ACC this year, all the impact stats back this up and most have it by a pretty wide margin.

I could see 2 or 3 Duke players getting votes which let a player from a new school win it. Think Williams has been the most consistent. Banchero and Griffin have had the most dominant performances in ACC play.

I think it’s a fair question. If you asked me who I would fear most losing to injury, it would be Mark. As BMBritt said, he’s the most consistent. He changes games more than anyone else.

I think it’ll be difficult for anyone to win POY besides Bacot tbh.

He’s earned it. Just my opinion.

Williams has to be the defensive player of the year. Anyone who sees him realizes how he completely changes the game. I think the guy at Wake might be player of the year.

Yeah I agree Mark should be ACC POY AND DPOY but the award is a scoring award and the Williams guy from Wake has been the best scorer in the conference after Paolo faded the past few games. But the ACCP, DPOY and FPOY will be Williams, Williams and Banchero respectively

If Paolo is in the discussion (most websites have him as a top 3 guy), then Williams most definitely should be in the discussion. He has been the much better player than Paolo in ACC play.
