***DUKE VS VIRGINIA OFFICIAL GAMEDAY THREAD***

[germantondevil]

There is a change we are only down 4 at the first TV timeout. Let’s go Duke!!!!!

[duhondukie]

Nice finish by Javin there. Hopefully he can step up

[pisgah101]

Check the game thread tonight if we are struggling and you’ll know.

haha that’s what I thought

[pisgah101]

my man Tom

[duhondukie]

Does anyone else want Tre to push tempo and try and speed the game up?

[skysdad]

Please boys, NO SLOW START!!!!
OFC

It's got to the point to where it's a given we start slow on the road. OFC

UVA lulls teams into that. OFC

[LONMUNU]

I know it’s early but it’s funny to say that Javin has half of our points lol.

[kwyjibos13]

I believe it goes to who beat the next highest seed which would probably be Uva. If we win out, and it’s a three way tie I believe we DO get the one seed by virtue of our win against Uva.

if three teams are tied, it goes by record against each other. So if duke, Louisville and fsu tied, fsu is the one (2-1 vs ul and duke) duke the 2 (1-1) and ul the 3 (1-2)

[denverexpat]

If we have to win this in the half court that is going to be tough

[Ioliva]

well ball movement looks much better just can’t hit

[Jnood]

Good D goldwire. ******** bail out call!!

[duhondukie]

Give Vernon the ball on the elbow. Hard to double him there

[LONMUNU]

2 big boy moves by Vern

[Buzzooka Joe]

I have no idea why they called that backcourt foul on Goldwire.. they just expect their to be a foul in that situation so they call it even if it isn’t there.

[germantondevil]

Love the defensive presence Duke is showing now get the offense rolling and we be fine

There was no contact. He was about to pick his pocket!

[dbav]

Moore has been very good defensively.

[duhondukie]

Keep pushing tempo Tre

[Louisville Crazie]

Tre finding a rhythm

[duhondukie]

Moore has been very good defensively.

Yes he has, that was also a great hammer pass on the baseline that lead to the 3 by Tre

[denverexpat]

When we play a little quicker we are much better

[VaBlueDevil33]

Great move by putting Vernon at the free throw line instead of deep under the basket where they could double team every single time

[Fourteen44]

Just joined in - I like the Tempo.

[germantondevil]

As long as they don’t blow the whistle like they did in the Wake game it is good. Still can’t believe they blowed 49 fouls in that game

[DukeRulesBasketball]

If we can just push this to a double digit lead, I’ll feel okay.

[JohnstonCDevil]

How about a little Alex. He has been playing well.
OFC

[DukeDenver]

This one is going to be a fight. Grab your blood pressure medicine OFC. Grab your spirits everyone else.

[BlueDaveil]

It’s crazy that we average the second most ppg in the country with all of our scoring droughts we seem to have every game. Really like how we’ve fought back early in this one, keep it close the whole way and I like our chances.

[christophero]

I like how we are battling so far.

[denverexpat]

when our offense has no one in the post its static...need at least a post player in there

[CRAZIE4LIFE]

Javin got robbed

[DukeRulesBasketball]

JGold!

[Ioliva]

Loving the movement javin got stuffed but he’s been more open on different looks but we pass on him because he’s unreliable. Gotta give him more opportunities and build his confidence

[BlueDaveil]

No way Delaurier catches that 2 years ago.

[CRAZIE4LIFE]

That darn Goldwire did something good

[SwatX1]

Great move by putting Vernon at the free throw line instead of deep under the basket where they could double team every single time

You mean K is actually coaching?? Hmmmmmmm.......I thought he just rolls it out there!!

[dbav]

UVA's PG is not comfortable at all. Let's keep it that way.

[Fourteen44]

They showed a close up of Jay Huff and my wife’s response:

“His face looks like a hairy ******.”

[VaBlueDevil33]

You have never heard me say that pal...don't put words in my mouth
