Hahaha and he was yelling out across the parking lot of the hotel that the movie Twister was on the tv and it wasnt even out of the theater yet.
That's an important distinction and entirely valid for a teacher to correct... but I don't know why she would mention it to you unless he was arguing with her about it or deliberately trolling.
Not arguing. She told me the context. He told me the context. I literally just shook my head and walked off. My son also mentioned I was a fireman. She corrected him and said fireperson.

You should tell her that while you always identify as a cis male, you are panspecies, so calling you "person" is offensive. I wouldn't normally joke about such things, but she's being ridiculous.
The teacher conversation reminds me of the Uncle Buck discussion with the teacher.
