How to watch all Duke games without cable?

So, I just realized I’m paying $60 a month for cable/tv and the only thing I watch on it is Duke basketball games.. everything else I’m interested in, I can easily watch on the streaming services I have (Netflix, Amazon, KODI)

If I get rid of my cable.. how can I go about watching EVERY Duke game this season for $25 or less a month?

BTW, I am in the Charlotte NC area.

Thanks for any help!

I watch with an antenna, Roku and Sling. With internet service and Netflix it's about $85.00 a month. Get all the ESPN plus ESPNNEWS and many more channels with Sling. The heck with Spectrum and the DishNetwork. OFC

You guys that use the streaming services... how much mb internet you need to stream and not have any freezing? I really want to drop Direct tv ($140 a month!).

I have Netflix and a PS4. Thought about looking at PlayStation Vue and maybe Sling tv.

Does Youtube get most Duke games?

I also have a 300mb limit a month where I live. So not sure if streaming would work.

Thanks on any advice! Just tired of having to sign contracts with Direct

Hopefully that is 300GB a month - which should be plenty. I have 50 GB at high speed which for satellite internet is 25 mb/s. That is ok. I run out of highspeed data midway through the month not watching much. They cut me back to 3 mb/s for the rest of the time and can only use netflix and youtube tv after that. The quality is not the best and I go to my office and watch games as live is unwatchable at those speeds at home. Would love to have good internet but no options at my cabin. It's ok though waterside living in my cabin is worth it 100%.

Netflix and Prime allow me to download shows so I download what we would like to watch while at work and hook my phone to the tv at home. Works well enough for us.

Yeah sorry about that.. I mean 300 gb a month. I can get 50mb speed and 300GB data for like $50 a month.


I might look into Youtube now that I see it has a dvr too.

You mentioned having a PS4. I used to use PS Vue and it worked really well for me. It'll let you record games that you may not be able to watch live. I think it starts at $35 or $40/month.

Also, a bit off topic, but I would look into an ISP that doesn't cap your data if you haven't already. Data isn't a tangible good; there is literally no reason to cap it other than to create artificial tiered pricing.

Did the PS Vue work good for streaming Duke games in HD quality?

Yeah I live in a rural county and Shentel is a monopoly so they price like they want. It sucks cause the city next to me Roanoke has better options and unlimited data but the company in Roanoke want expand to our county.

Skeelow, I lived in a rural area when I had PS Vue, which means slow internet, and I never really had problems with the quality of the stream. Occasionally it would begin grainy, but improve over the course of a minute or so. My only complaint with it was that, sometimes if a game was on live, it wouldn't allow you to rewind to the beginning.

Google firstrowsports I’m assuming they’ll have it there. Got to get through some pop ups and I wouldn’t download anything from there but I used it for the steelers game this weekend when spectrum nbc feed went out.
Worked fine

Direct TV fake cancel call and lowered my monthly charge to $62. That includes equipment and taxes. Went to my cord cutting buddies house and watched picture freeze or go out multiple times, not worth saving $30 per month.

I think we should all chip in on a tv service thru DI. Have someone buy a Flux Capacitor, they are sold at O'Reilly's Auto Parts. It runs off 1.21 gigawatts. Should be plenty powerful for all of us to get good reception and service.
Maybe we could get Dirt to install the system at his estate, and the rest of us could ping off of his receiver.

The picture freezing likely has to do with your buddy's internet, and not the streaming service itself. I've had YouTube TV for a year now and haven't had the picture freeze on me once.
