Me and my 2 black friends have never discussed any of it . You know why? Becuase they act like they have some damn sense, and in return get treated like every other person in this world that does! Lmao. I actually get along and fit iin more with blacks tbh. Maybe even like them a little more then whites if I had to say that. There’s none of this race this race that bs! It’s just people hanging out with people and that’s it! A good time! Nobody ive ever seen treats them any different based on their color, and they have never complained about anybody dong it ....(to answer your question) I’ve grown up in the actuall minority where I live (majority black), so don’t feed this bs that I don’t know how it feels being in a crowded room with blacks and whatever you said. Blah blah. Some treated me well, some didnt. Goes both ways. I’m not over here crying about it though, and claiming racism every chance I had. I get it, some blacks are wrongfully treated. As is the entire population at one point or another.

I used to play ball at the rec on Bay Street in Morehead City when I was a young man, literally about the only white dude in there. I ran full court all night in there with them, no worries. I know there’s white folk that are racial as hell, blacks to, but don’t lump us all in your basket when you’re here slinging out posts. Pisses me off. I give EVERY man a chance , don’t give a **** what color you are. Second, every post I've made in this thread I've quoted who it was aimed at. The only time I addressed you was when you said the rats *** thing and I pointed out that it's much easier to say race doesn't matter when you're a white guy in a room with nothing but, or a vast majority of, other white guys. I said if the roles were reversed, you might feel different. That is perfectly understandable.

Now, as for everything you responded to in the post I just quoted:

You didn't have to answer any of that because none of those questions were asked of you. The questions were specifically directed at Ipsychosis (which is why I quoted him), as he was the poster who attempted to explain racist stereotypes by comparing Blacks with dogs, said a race war was coming, implied that the only Black poster in the thread to that point should have done a better job of helping his cause by being nice to the white folks here and opined that I had come around looking for sympathy and "some of that Black privilege." Of course he did all this after making it well-known that his two best friends are Black. That's why I asked him, and only him, about the conversations he has with those two friends of his.

The fact that I questioned him, though, and you felt the need to come in guns blazing on behalf of him is more of that across the board my team/your team **** that has polarized our country and is causing so much damage.

Well, there you have it. The two guys you've grown up with and who are your best friends have never experienced any racism because they have some damn sense. That's great. I had no idea all it took to avoid racial discrimination in this country is to have some damn sense.

I appreciate that you've been able to take in stride racism you've experienced at the hands of Blacks. Just remember, somebody messing with you on the basketball court or in the club because you're white isn't the same as somebody in a position messing with you in the workplace or during a traffic stop.

Sometimes it is hardest for those who are not racists to understand/ appreciate how the subtle, everyday racism in our society impacts those who suffer from it. In the past, I shared many of the views expressed by some in this thread until I studied these issues in depth. I tended to become offended and spent more time defending myself/race/gender etc than listening and trying to understand. It wasnt until I stopped trying to defend myself from offenses that I never committed and just listened to others-and really studied the issues, that I could begin to understand the perspective of minorities in our society.

Again, just so it's clear, I couldn't care less about who has friends of what color. I asked about Ipsychosis's friends because he brought them up after he made some very racially charged comments.

Boy this thread went deeep south in a hurry. For those of you who realized it was a JOKE thank you for getting it. I should have put a lot of these at the end. I don't like Nike because they have become to big and I blame them for all our foot, ankle and leg injuries over the last several years. Now if just Coach K and Duke would break the contract and go with Duke Blue and White Converse All-Stars Chucks. White for home games and Duke Blue for away games then I see us going undefeated. By the way. I thought the joke was hilarious even if I say so myself. I got it from a tar heel friend of mine so it is not original. OFC
