That Michigan team is legit. They could win it all.
His second at bat? He hit that ball like a man. They had some big boys on that team. When the second batter was intentionally walked, I knew it was going to be trouble.

Not his second at bat. The second at bat of the whole game. The little fast kid struck out, then Indiana walked batter number two. I’ve never seen anything like that before. You just knew it was trouble.
But yeah, HIS second at bat you could see why they walked him. Good lord.
I have a friend who played little league with Don Mattingly.......he said is was incredibly obvious even at that age that no other kid on the field was even on the same planet with him. Skill and technique can be taught, but I believe high level pro athletes are just born with something that everybody else wasn't
Yea that’s what I meant HIS second time at the plate. I think I saw where he hasn’t made an out since last Sunday in the regionals. They are going to be a tough out.Not his second at bat. I am not 100 percent sold on that Michigan team just yet. Their regional was extremely weak, so until proven otherwise, they might just be the whale in the small pond.....You have to keep in find that they trailed in both the semifinal and finals of their own state tournament. Hence, as good as they looked yesterday, something is not adding up.
The Iowa pitcher has a thunderbolt for an arm, but I am not sure the team as a whole has the depth to make a deep run. They can win any game he pitches, but do they have a #2 that can hang with some of the power regions?
It did not matter who came out of the West. Whether it was Northern CA or Hawaii, you knew they were going to be able to play. The West is always deep on talent, so the winner of that regional enters Williamsport as a team to watch by default. They seem like a very complete team that does everything well. They have a strong ace and even though I did not see him, I am betting their #2 guy has the goods as well.
My own boys, the New Yorkers are another team that appears to possess the whole package. This Bruno kid has all the tools on the mound. He is not as hard a thrower as some of the other regional winning aces, but he might have the best overall package. He has solid command of all of his pitches and set up hitters very well.
The Idaho bullpen concerns me. That game got a lot closer than I sure they would have liked in the 6th.
I only saw parts of the Texas and Georgia wins, but both teams impressed me.
Without question, this is a solid U.S. field!!!!
What a game!!!
Michigan was down 4-1, bottom of the 6th with one out. Haven't done anything all game, and all of a sudden the bats come alive. Ended up scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th for the comeback win.I turned it off after the fifth. What happened?

My goodness, really? Didn't see that. That would be a shame after the Jackie Robinson club debacle a few years ago. I would think teams are better than that. That Indiana team may just be sour. If I'm not mistaken, the female that seems to be keeping the books for them, they mentioned she was like the league president or something in Michigan.Nasty. And now the Indiana team they beat in regionals is claiming they have out if zip code kids. They filled an appeal.
Yeah Michigan pitching is a one man show unfortunately. New York looks good, but after Bruno, I think they will get rocked. Now these Ga boys lol, they have some great arms and seems like every time they bring somebody else in, it makes you forget about who they replaced on the mound. I think it will be Ga versus the boys from the big island for the U.S side of the bracket. Pitching is huge at this point.@retiredsoldier I think you’re right. Sounds like sour grapes.
Won’t matter, Michigan doesn’t have the pitching or fielding to make a run. Couple that with Little League using the “dead bats,” and their big strength is nullified. NY seems to be the cream of the crop. This is a pitcher’s year.
There’s a safety net around the entire field in a little league game??? Lord the worlds getting soft.... and dumb.....Hopefully nobody’s ever gotten hurt in a (MLB) game from a line drive, but has it ever happened? Like serious life threatening injury? This makes me wonder how in the Fing Hell!!!!! can you allow fans to stand as close; and in the direction of a Golf swing as fans do! There’s a little league net protecting foul balls; yet a crowd of fans standing 20 yards ahead of a golfer, 5 feet to the left and right!! Sheeshhh. I’ve actually had a friend put in a coma by getting hit in the head by a golf ball like that.... That’s what they need to stop. It’s only a matter of time before a bug stings somebody In the asz on their down swing, and they rip one into the crowd or something. Especially when the shots come out of the rough, and fans are just surrounding the golfers, and their path is narrow like 10 feet to hit the fairway, or a fan....
What's up 500hp? I'm hoping these GA kids can make it happen. Crazy how usually it's Warner Robbins coming out of this regional. Yeah the little league system here is the real deal, but only the State Champ can represent the region. But it's a pure battle based on the programs here. Sorta of crazy it's not in the spot light more than it is. That Michigan team came from behind again.Another GA fan here. Peachtree City looks legit. I'm surprised Atlanta GA Doesn't send more teams to Williamsport as they have arguably one of the top youth baseball programs in America through their East Cobb Baseball system but was told by a parent that most of the top 12 year old in that system play on a bigger field, longer mound distance, etc. The East Cobb park is an incredible incredible venue and field complex. Went to a 15u tourney there a couple years back to watch a buddy's son and they were already hitting with wood and throwing low to mid 80's with 200 teams in the tourney paying $1500 entry fee per team. Insane.
I saw an article posted on Facebook about a coach getting suspended for the rest of the LLWS because he didn’t play one of his players which one of the rules is that all players must get at least one at bat in every game. The twist is that the player that he didn’t play was his own son.
