Xaiver is gonna be way down since they lost Chris Mack, so I expect to play a tough Auburn team in the 2nd round. Auburn will be a tough matchup, I'm assuming they are very physical?? Seem to always be.

My memory is horrible compared to what it used to be. Hasn’t Duke won the Maui Invitational every time that we’ve played in it?
We are undefeated in Maui.
Just looked it up. Duke has played in 5 Maui Invitationals, and has won all 5 championships, we have never lost.
1992, 1997, 2001, 2007, and 2011.
Most would consider 2007 to be our worst team in 20 years....and we still won the thing lol. Maui has been good to us.

I thought we were undefeated but I wasn’t sure and we have won the most, ironically UNCheat has won the second most at 4. Also UNCheat has lost twice.

07-08 was also one of our worst teams the past 20 years, IMO. But I stand corrected.

No. We have like four trips planned for this winter....and I’d like to make it down to our place in Florida a few times, as well. Just didn’t work this time around.
I don’t acknowledge anything the holes have won for the past 20 years or so, because we all know how they won it.
For the posters on this board going to Maui: have you bought your tickets yet? What would be the best way in purchasing the tickets? I want to go to Maui as well if I can swing it. I am either taking a 2 week trip to Europe or Mexico in mid October, so Maui may not happen
@dukiejay is the expert on this. I’m just planning to grab a couple single game tickets as I’ll only be in Maui for 2 days of the tournament.
There's a couple ways you can do it....go through the school or through the tournament. In 2007 we did the former. It assured we were at the team hotel and the Iron Dukes bus took us to and from the arena. We saved a little money in 2011 by going through the tournament website. Luckily, we were still able to use the Iron Dukes bus....not that it's a big deal or anything, but it is convenient.
I would encourage trying to stay at the team hotel. It just makes it more fun and enjoyable. I'd probably be able to find out where they're staying if they're not giving out that info at the basketball office.
Maui is a lot of fun, but it's spendy. Unfortunately, we have a destination wedding this winter we're attending and are going on a trip for a group of birthday's. Maui just didn't make the top of the list this year....but it's definitely something I want to do the next go-round as my kids are getting older and it would be a fun experience for them.

Did you go through the Maui Invitational website? If so, try and check with Duke University. They might have some available. In 2007, we were able to go through the school for tickets and got around having to take the team charter. I think you said you're on the west coast, correct? So obviously you don't want to be on that flight.
