Will the new money interests create a bigger problem for college basketball? The increase in gambling will be massive. Imagine UNC fans being able to buy bets on Luke Maye for POY at the zippy mart... the profits will be bigger than a freshman Luke Maye.

Best news I’ve seen in a while, but I love betting on sports. If it has a negative impact and players start throwing games then they should just leagalize it in Nevada and Oregon. I could live with that.

I think it’ll have more transparency and weird betting patterns or line moves will be more transparent and out in the open. Less likely for corruption imho. Underground betting is somewhere 150B a year most of that may move to legitimate sports books and it’ll just be better regulated. I’m all for it. Although I’m willing to bet my state GA is one of the last to get on board unfortunately.

Why would this change anything? Literally everyone I know has a 5dimes, TopBet, Bookmaker, etc. account, with half the sites having you place the bet and accept payouts person to person - just like this will be done.

Legalizing it certainly won't make this more complicated.
