Roy is already downplaying it saying Luke just wants to see what he needs to work on next season. Nobody downplays their players NBA potential like Ol’ Roy.
From a business perspective, it makes sense. He’s not going anywhere, though.

Didn’t Bolden do the same thing with no real chance of getting drafted or am I wrong about Bolden.

This is a good move for Big Luke Maye! He has the Chance to get feed back from some of the NBA guys and tips on how to chew his mouth piece like Steph Curry.
I don't understand. He just needs to talk to Jordan to find out what the Hornets need him to work on since he's their first pick next year.

I just don’t see any scenario where he can make a living in the NBA (or G-League). I don’t know any player he would be able to guard.

He could guard sean may or tyler hansbrough. Oh yeah. They aren't in the NBA. OFC
I think it will be hard for him to make it a long term career, but I wouldn't totally rule out. It would have to be as a face-up four and the young man can shoot it. That's what Hansbrough couldn't do.
Maye is going to be a pro player, but I'd be surprised if the duration of his career wasn't spent overseas.
Off topic fun fact... JJ Redick will most likely end his NBA career with more total rebounds than Tyler Hansbrough.

Recruiting over someone is one of the stupidest things I've heard in sports. Improve or take a seat on the bench, it's that simple.
Hope you're right Show, but I'm worried that they feed off of each other. Then throw in Cam and some improved bigs, the Holes are legit this season.

Much as I hate to admit it, Maye made quite the impression on me last year. Oh I still joke around about the "Larry Bird" comparisons, but he was a legit All-ACC performer. Hes no doubt poised for another solid year.
