Congrats to Kansas, it was a good game. We had opportunities to win and just didn’t convert.

They were well coached to beat us too...ran a smaller guy in the middle. Dukes 4-1 zone was just dumb and made it impossible for Carter to play defense.

Switching to the 3-2 helped but Kansas just shot too well

No shame in losing to them. Hurts yes. Should have won yes. But shame? No. Congrats KU

They played super smart. I know they will remember how close Allen’s shot was to going in forever. God knows I will.

I watched Malik Newman all tournament and knew that guy was clutch and was worried he would use his clutchnees against us. I’d have no problem with Kansas winning it all this year. Only team in the final four I don’t particularly care for is Michigan.

They had a great gameplan and executed it perfectly. When Duke made adjustments, they adjusted immediately and correctly.

Smart, tough and well coached. Well done Kansas.

Huge win for Self. Wright or Self can make a huge career jump next weekend.

Congrats to Kansas. It was a great game....not just the wrong outcome.

My voice is slowly coming back today. I absolutely can't believe that Grayson's shot in regulation didn't fall. The last 30 seconds went from euphoria to heartbreak....it seemed to suck a lot of air out of us.

Exciting game. Both teams fought all game long.
Really appreciate all of this. Too often too many of us get wrapped up in our own team and overlook that we just saw one hell of a basketball game by two great teams.

Game of the tourney so far.

I agree. I said the same thing last night. Definitely the best game I've watched in the tournament as far as both teams competing hard, and going down to the wire, even in O.T.

I know uk fans hate Kansas. I'm not really sure why. I do not personally know anyone, other than some uk fans I know that has any ill will or hatred towards Kansas.

It was pretty crazy. It was the type of game where every possession mattered. Win or lose, those are the types of games fans live for. Would love to have self and k schedule a home and home before k retires. Two of the best venues in cbb.

What a classy thread. I don't know if I've seen such a classy thread after a loss. Usually there's at least a couple fans that come in and ruin it.

KU is peaking at the right time. This team is a lot better than the one we had 6 weeks ago. I said Newman was the key to KU making a run in the tourney and he's been playing at an elite level the last 10 games or so. The combination of Newman and DeSousa finally getting to play and coming around. DeSousa literally barely got into the game more than a couple minutes in the regular season, but was huge in helping us not get mauled inside while Azubuike sat with foul trouble.

KU has come up short far too often in the elite 8 (that was our 8th trip in 15 seasons under Self) and it was a huge, huge win. When you see Self celebrate like that, you know it meant a lot. The guy has felt the weight of the world on his shoulders as often as KU has come up short in the elite 8. Game could've gone either way. Thanks again for being such classy posters.

It should be this way. Yeah, a little friendly banter is fun, but some fans will literally wish harm on a kid or for something bad to happen to a coach....and they mean it. Those are the ones that make you hate their program, even if the program itself is really ok.

I was at the game yesterday and met a lot of cool Jayhawks fans the last few days. It was my seven-year-old’s first ever Duke game and the KU folks sitting around us were very pleasant. One of them even high-fived her when Gary made that three as the shot clock expired. I was impressed and will have no issue casually supporting them on Saturday. Good luck!

I was impressed how prepared Self had you guys, Kansas came out a different team in the 2nd Half.

Going into the match there were 2 goals for the 2 teams. Kansas had to successfully shoot the 3 pointer - check. And Duke needed to win the glass - fail.

You guys had the more well-rounded approach and you executed it. Well done.
