Dan Dakish comments will have Bagley motivated

I don't have a twitter account so I didn't realize that Bagley actually responded to the comments till just now. Marvin doesn't seem like a guy that you want to give any extra motivation to. I'm guessing he's going to take a lot of that frustration out on Saturday!

You mean the guy who is ACC All Academic. But wait I thought he was too dumb to qualify? Good for you Marvin, silence the haters.

If he put up those stats, it may get really ugly. Effort has never been a problem with him. Understanding how to play defense was the problem. Once he figures out where his eyes should be and rotations then he'll be dominant

Dakich is an ******* for what he said about Bags, but I hope he doesn't need that as an incentive to beat UNC. Duke had UNC on the ropes and on the way to an epic *** beating before we fell apart and let them steal the win from us. If losing to a hated rival, and especially after the big lead, doesn't motivate him (and the team) then they've got a problem I don't think there is one though. I saw Bags interview after the loss, and there was no doubt that he was really down about the loss.
I think we'll win, and maybe big, but if we don't it won't be from lack of effort from Bags and the team.

Still remember Hurley wearing the not in our house shirt after beating The Fab Five in his senior year

Dakich just made a comment about Bagley during the Kentucky game. He said he was the most selfless player and laughed. His partner just got quite. He then acknowledged Bagley and Allen making the all academic team.

Bagley doesn’t come across as selfish to me. He comes across as a player who has had a lot of success doing something a specific way. He believes the best option for the team is to score...even if...at this lvl...there may be better team options in that moment.

Add in his slow reactions on defense and I can see how someone could see that as selfish instead of lack of awareness.

Let me ask you this...when a player who is fully capable makes an early choice not to challenge a play at the rim...is he avoiding a poster or smartly avoiding the foul?

He's not selfish,he's always been the go to guy on every team he's played on,his team mates always deferred to him,it's been an adjustment for him to no longer being the only option, probably be the same thing for Zion next year

The same Dakich that said Miles Bridges had no game. He got called out on that one too. Someone said that if 17 ppg and 8 rpg was "no game", what was 1.6 ppg and 1.2 rpg.... which was his stats his sophomore year.

Does that mean Jason Williams is border line the same? Because, although toned down lower then Dakich he said the same thing.

That was always the question mark on Bagley was his defense. No one ever questioned his offensive game.
Watch the last play when Carter try’s to cover both sides of the lane and Bagley is kinda just hanging out under the basket before he attempts to cover Clark while Carter is trying to defend.
If you even listened to Dakich’s comments he even said he’d get backlashed more for his comments then the same ones made by Billas but he didn’t care. Bagley needs to show he can defense. IMO, it’s the one thing keeping him from being the unanimous overall number one pick.

Dakich actually said "selfless " not selfish. He made that comment during the Kentucky game because he probably caught hell about his rant at VT.
