I would call this David vs Goliath personally. If you look at the full scope.

One is a once in a lifetime type the other is a total - everyday, dime a dozen try hard! Not even being a dick! Luke has continually proven haters wrong, but to put him next to Bagley like this is some Goliath vs Goliath epic thing is total craziness!

Heck I would say Duval vs Berry is closer to a thing then Bagley vs “big luke”..... and Duval vs Berry is s loonnngggg ways from a thing

David va Goliath??? Goliath was killed ya know. Head chopped off and my man David carried it around as a trophy.

Bagley is hands down way better than Luke. Luke 1v1 against Bagley would be ugly. Luke would get exposed.

Poor example with the end result in mind lol..... as far as build up though, nobody is going to bill this as some epic big man battle for the ages. Marvin is on an entirely different planet then Luke.

Do you think big luke maye will guard Bagley or Carter and which ever one he is on who will guard the other. OFC

The only way anyone could think of Luke Maye is an Unmovable object because he’s one of the slowest white basketball players for a big time program and his vertical is about an inch. Bagley can literally spike block Maye’s dunk attempts without jumping. Only hope Maye has of doing any damage Thursday against Duke is if he’s hitting three pointers.

Honestly...Carter is too much of a man for Luke. Hes way more physical and goes up strong.

Bags on the other hand is just so quick for his size and uses little effort to rebound, block, dunk, and his left handed move down low...no one has an answr for it.

Sean May is a whole lot of man.

Btw, he was totally the UNC Elton Brand in college.
So might say too much man, then and especially now. Always had a problem with the sweets, but he was a good guy (friendly with my brother in college).

But no, maybe Elton light (no pun intended). Not as tall or as explosive. But I see the similarity. In fact, Jamison, Brand, and May all had similiar games.

Actually, Maye has more lift than most realize. He certainly, has better hops than Meeks does. But he rarely attacks the rim like that. I wish he would do that more often.

Hmmm... not 100 percent on board with the Jamison comparison... he wasn't quite as much a wide body, and I don't think of him as a big wingspan/big hands type? I might be wrong, of course... he probably had a huge wingspan, and I just don't remember. I guess I am thinking of the big body guys.

BTW, Jamison is my favorite ever Carolina player (well, along with Rasheed Wallace.) I remember a stat from his senior year... he averaged like 22 points a game, but only touched the ball for something like 45 seconds a game. It was something insane like that. Never seen someone get their shot off SOOO quickly. He was a beast.

Yeah, Jamison was incredible. He wasn't the biggest guy around but he's as good at creating space as any college player I've ever watched.

Never really cared for David. Chopping off someone's head and carrying it around as a trophy is sociopathic behavior and people he didn't like had a tendancy to coincidentally die.

Definitely agree with others here that Luke Maye is no match for Bags - definitely offensively speaking.

Why bring up the fact that he is white?

My first thought is if we win this huge game does the “we’re better now, so good, improved!” Stuff start...and do the players turn a blind eye in their next game as well. Am I crazy?! Feel like a unc fan saying that ...but so far we bounce back big!! Then fall shortly after ...if we lose idk what happens?...it’s good that I’ve only thought about winning though... btw there’s only 1 Luke worth talking about here hahah.i almost not even considered watching this game because of the clumsy annoying looking overrated maye.... probally dumb thought though idk what wrong with me

AJ was my favorite all-time. Such a quick release. Had a really productive nba career as well, just very quiet. My brother sat with him during a football game last year (box) and he was super nice and talkative.

Would have LOVED to see AJ in a Duke uni. A very rare breed - he was an un-hateable UNXer.

I think Carter will guard Luke. Carter is more physical. You also may see Duke play a 1-3-1. It would definitely change things up.

With the way this Duke team guards, you can go ahead and spot UNC 80 points(at least) and work from there.
