By my count, every time we've played UNC when we were ranked #9, we have won. We are 5-0 against the Heels ranked #9 with a double-digit average margin of victory. Three wins in Durham, two in Chapel Hill.

Other numbers in our favor? We've never lost to UNC when they've been ranked 21 or higher.

History usually repeats itself.

It seems crazy that they and uk are still ranked.
A lot of tough games no only for Duke but
for many of the teams ahead of them. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. I’m just hoping they can manage to stay in Charlotte for the first weekend.

UNC and UK fans are always complaining about rankings and even though neither of them dropped that much in the polls this week I bet they’ll still complain, which is funny considering UNC went 1-2 last week and only dropped 2 spots but Kentucky went 2-1 last week and dropped 3 spots and we were 1-1 last week and dropped 5 spots. I expected us to drop after losing to St Johns but I think it’s funny that we dropped 5 spots after 1 loss and UNC only dropped 2 spots after 2 losses last week. Especially since UNC is the only 7 loss team that’s still ranked. UK is 1 of 4 ranked teams with 6 losses.

It's because of their SOS ranking, which is #1 or #2. If they didnt have a high SOS, they wuldnt be ranked in the top 25.
