I'm curious....what are some bad habits posters have here?

Tobacco, specifically chewing tobacco, is one I've always fought with and still do to this day. Knock on wood, but I haven't one since late October. Three months later and by habit I still reach for the center console in my vehicle to grab one. When I was in my 20s I always just chalked it up to being something I did while playing baseball, but slowly it became when I golfed, on my drive to work or even one before bed. This past summer my seven-year-old asked me about it one night after one of my baseball games. It broke my heart, but I think it's what I needed. I tried quitting late summer and admittedly went back to it a few times in moments of weakness, but now three months later I'm still plugging along. I can't tell you how much I wanted one yesterday when I was golfing. (I also enjoy the occasional (good) cigar.)

Energy Drinks!!!! The Grape Rockstar is killer. The fire station I worked at in Raleigh was near NC State campus. The Red Bull girls as we called them would stop by and drop off cases for us. Our refrigerator outside had about 150+ Red Bull. All various sizes. That started my addiction. It’s been a bad habit ever since.

Tobacco. Been dipping way too long, and my daughter and wife gets on to me about it. I know I need to quit, but haven't had will power to do so.

My wife never liked it, but she never really gave me much grief about it. I tried to avoid doing it around her (I honestly don't think she knew how much I was doing it, either), and especially the children. Now that my oldest is starting to understand things more she's asks more questions. There was no good way to answer or respond when she asked. It made me feel like an idiot.

I smoke. And drink...maybe more than I should....but I don't think I really have any bad habits!!

Honestly I wish I didn't smoke but not for the right reasons. Mainly because of being irritated when I can't, like at an airport. I did the vape thing for awhile but now back smoking. I know why I haven't quit, and it's because I really enjoy it and haven't been able to develop the "want to" that you have to have to kick it.

I used to spend way too much time in bars, which led to other problems besides just the alchohol ..but not much of that anymore.

I have 2 bad habits: smoking and drinking
I don’t smoke as much as I used to but I still smoke more than I should and need to quit. I don’t drink too often, mainly just when I go out on Friday nights but I have a tendency to overdo it at times when I go out drinking on Friday nights.

Cigarettes and coffee. I quit for a year on the smoking part but started back and if I don’t drink coffee. Well it’s gonna be a bad day. I literally have a coffee mug that says,” I drink coffee for your protection!”

Sugar. Definitely addicted to sugar.

And some light insider trading, but mostly the sugar thing.

Chew. I switched to the little sissy pouches to work on quitting, now I just chew 24/7.

Redbull. If I was genetically predisposed for kidney stones, I would have had at least 1 by now.

I have terrible eating habits. By that, I don't mean I eat a lot of junk (although I do eat quite a bit), but I don't eat throughout the day. I usually just eat dinner which is bad for me.

I don't usually wake up hungry and I try to get working once I get up. Once I am in work mode, I don't really think about eating or hydrating throughout the day and it can mess with my health a little.

This kind of applies to me, as well. I get up at 6am every morning and go straight to my home office for about an hour. Then help with getting the kids off, showered and out the door by 8am. Some days I don't eat until 3 or 4pm and then I unfortunately snack in the evening.

Last fall, my wife and I (she's more of a health nut) did one of those 10-day cleanses. It was good for me, and I stuck on the program when it was over for a while, but eventually I delve back to my old habits. The 10-day cleanse sucked, by the way.

Yeah, I get whole 7-10 hours spurts where the only thing I will have is a cup of coffee. Then I will have dinner, go to a municipal meeting and come home and have a snack at like 9:30 in the evening. Nothing about it is healthy, haha. I've started bringing oranges to work, so that helps.

I also am not great at not eating until I am full. I've been working on kicking that.
