Great article. I like the statistical breakdown of line-ups. I know that if one or two guys get hot while a third guy happens to be on the floor, it's not necessarily a reflection on that third guy, but it's something to mull over.

Glad you enjoyed datt, and great point sir!

Bolden is interesting. I think there are several things you notice about him when he gets more time.

1) Obviously he needs to continue to get stronger and improve his quickness. I think he needs to be a 3 year player.

2) A good bit of the above will help with added confidence.

3) He still needs to learn more aggressiveness. Sometimes you'll notice he does the right thing but does it without aggressiveness. Sort of going through the motions. He seems to have a mild personality (not a criticism). For example, on the pick and roll when after he sets the pick, he does the right thing in pivoting to the basket. But, several times he does it like he's going through the motions ('This is where I'm supposed to move'); it almost looks like slow motion and it allows his opponent to guard him- rather than aggressively flashing to the basket. In the 2nd half against St. Francis I thought he did a better job - seemed more aggressive. Perhaps someone noticed that. I'm sure they will see that on tape.

4) The other challenge for big men is to be aggressive without being out of control. As good as Carter has been, he struggles with that as well, as is witnessed by getting in foul trouble in several games (even against St. Francis). Bolden needs to add physical aggressiveness to his game; but then also the ability to learn how to do so with control.

It just takes time but no doubt, if Bolden keeps working hard - he can be a player for us. I like him and hope he stays and develops himself.

Nice post youngman. Bolden would be an excellent 3rd yr player for us I agree! OFC

If we didn't have generational big guys this year in Bagley and Carter, we would be very happy with Bolden. Next year will really be his year with Vrank backing him up. Hope that he takes advantage of that opportunity.

Competing in practice against Bagley, Carter and Javin has to make him better. OFC
