How is Arizona's program much different than UNC's at this point? It would be kind of funny if UNC beat out Arizona for the services of Nassir Little and/or Simi Shittu, due to Arizona running a corrupt program.

I think the risk to a school like Duke is if a heralded player like a one and done, took money before enrolling in school and the deal didn't involve the coaches at all. It involved just the shoe company or agent. The school would have played an ineligible player and be subject to NCAA penalty. This is probably just the tip of the iceberg and who knows what will turn up with the FBI subpoena power and prison sentences possible.
The two ex Duke players in the NBA that are sponsored by Adidas are Rivers and Winslow. Hopefully nothing shady went down.
Investigation started in 2015
So I guess Winslow would be the only that could even possibly be in question.
UNC's legal staff has more experience with plausible deniability.
Dr, Steat leading the charge over on THR on this, Says he actually is a financial adviser, not a doctor??? Him and Gary7 speculating on how many recruits they land from the affected schools.
They better hire OJ's lawyers or the programs done. Either way I think Pitinos toastBetween the hooker/stripper scandal and now the fraud/corruption scandal, what does everyone think will be the total punishments that Louisville will get hit with when it’s all said and done?

Apparently a UL assistant is on tape talking about paying for a player a month after the COI made their ruling. I think it's going to be really bad for them and I agree with @timo0402 about pitino being done.Between the hooker/stripper scandal and now the fraud/corruption scandal, what does everyone think will be the total punishments that Louisville will get hit with when it’s all said and done?
I just cannot see any way in hell if Lville wants to avoid the death penalty that they keep him on.Apparently a UL assistant is on tape talking about paying for a player a month after the COI made their ruling. I don’t think there is any way to avoid the death penalty now. I’m almost certain Louisville will get it.I just cannot see any way in hell if Lville wants to avoid the death penalty that they keep him on.
I don't know... Scheyer could probably use some street cred...Can't be good for recruiting....
The only reason I’m thinking Death Penalty is because this is the third instance involving Pitino and UofLI don't think Louisville gets the death penalty. Not due to lack of merit, but from a practical standpoint, how many times has that ever happened? If they haven't dropped the hammer on the cheaters, I'd be shocked if the NCAA has the audacity to pull the trigger on something like that.
Just my opinion though.

I agree with both of you that Pitino is going to be done at Louisville. As far as punishment goes I think on top of the punishment that they’re already facing from the stripper/hooker scandal that they could be facing more vacated wins (depending on when this fraud/corruption scandal began) as well as more scholarship losses and postseason bans for multiple seasons if not the “death penalty”. It’s definitely going to get really ugly for them.Apparently a UL assistant is on tape talking about paying for a player a month after the COI made their ruling. I agreeUL has a great great tradition and heritage in college basketball and it will be a shame to see them get the death penalty but they are not above braking rules and are not entitled to anything. If the death penalty is warranted then so be it. This IMO applies to all programs including Duke if warranted. All programs no matter how great the tradition is or how many games and national championships they've won or how numerous their fan base is. Did I mention all programs . Yes all of them. OFC
#royknew and that ain't tar on them heels.
I agree

Haven't you seen any of his quotes? He's the victim!
