Duke vs Baylor football

Well, well. We're 2-0 and the holes are 0-2. That is cause for good feeling all around. Now we have a chance to keep the momentum going against Baylor.

Baylor is not who we thought they were. When this game came on the schedule myself and I'm sure others had doubts we would compete, let alone win. But now Baylor has lost two consecutive games go inferior competition that don't have our athletes. We can win, but I don't want to get cocky. Let's keep everything in perspective, go out and get another W. LET'S GO DUKE!!!

I will be at this game. 1st game of the season I finally get to make. I think we are favored by 14. Hoping we keep the momentum going. Would be great to be 3-0 and head to Chapel Hill for the early rivalry game and win. I really like our chances to compete for the Coastal and possibly get a good bowl game this year. I know I'm looking way ahead but I'm excited about this team and our quarterback. Go Duke!

Our best seasons of late have been due to our defense...I don't care what we when by, I'm more concerned about injuries and our defense continuing to improve...I'd love to see them keep the Baylor offence under 10.

Shame Duke is allowing Baylor on it's beautiful campus. That program & school administration is a disgrace.

Was about to say... unc is allowed on campus. And while I vehemently cry out against what happened at Baylor, their current team had nothing to do with it. I'm just focused on winning the football game

Before the season started, I thought the Duke Baylor would be a good game, but I think Duke wins big! Even after all of the drama that has surrounded the Baylor football program, I still didn't think they would be this bad!

I don't think Coach Cut will let them get overconfident. Especially with the UNC game coming up, we need to narrow the focus. And we still owe Miami for that clusterf*ck a few years ago!

Sky I couldn't agree with you more but I really hope no one looks at this as just a Dukie saying something negative about our hated rival. UNC is truly a sham on college athletics and are a disgrace with what they allowed for over 20 years and would still be cheating had they not been caught. If they would just admit to the world that its true and ask for forgiveness they could gain much respect. Anyone who has even a small appreciation of, and follows sports, except those blind idiot fans of theirs know how disgraceful they are.

What makes you think that they still aren't cheating?

Regretfully Duke football is not looked at as importantly as Duke Basketball but I betcha there are more fans at WW Stadium than Cameron EVER gets;).

Running game is great.

Jones is off a little.

Giles-Harris is a beast.

Humphrey and Fields also having a good game.

First Duke football game that I have watched in ages. Glad they won but never felt comfortable. Facilities look really nice, but , where are all the students and fans? I remember covering games there for years. Hot as hell with that track surrounding the field. Oh , well . Now they need to start getting the Cameron Crazzies to come to the games.

so things have really changed for duke football when we only get a c performance out of our qb, oline, special teams and the d gives up several big plays BUT we still win by 2 scores.
daniel jones was not sharp today but still competed. the oline had a lot to do with that as they kept giving in to pressure from a 3 man rush. bad day for evan lisle. can parker not punt the ball short of the end zone? can he not learn how to kick to a corner? why do we not catch all punts in the air? when we do we have some exciting plays. the d gave up 4 or 5 huge plays but all the rest of the game they were very very good. so much youth making an impact.
all this being said we beat a baylor team that on paper still has more talent than us and we beat them soundly. we gave up ten scoring points at the end of the first half that by the end of the year we wont make those mistakes. bad pass by daniel in the red zone and parker missed a short field goal.( he kicks the ball straight so center the ball and he wont miss. put out to hash marks and it is fifty fifty)
think if we said before the season that we would be 3-0 at this point we would be jumping for joy. not hitting on all cylinders yet which just shows how high the ceiling can be for this team

I said I would be thrilled at 3-0, amen Surf! I just hope we play MUCH BETTER AND SHARPER next week. O-Line definitely a cause for concern. Hump's pick cinched it, I honestly just didnt think they would be as close as 4 in 4th qtr....OFC
