UNC reaction to ND loss

I know everyone goes crazy after a loss but have u seen the THT thread calling their players pussies. I don't think we have ever went that far with our team. Please correct me if we have

I think sometimes we go a little overboard here after a loss, but nothing measures up to the sheer ignorance at THR after a loss. It really is quite comical.

Until the play and beat BC, then those people will say how great Roy Williams is and how great of adjustments he made.

I think their frustrations tend to come from pretty much three years of the same thing with their current group. Although, they still have an opportunity to go to a Final Four or better, IMO.

If I were a UNC fan, what would terrify me is how they've played in close games -- as it reflects a trend that has been plaguing that program for a couple years. In fact, it's pretty astounding to see that such an experienced and talented UNC squad is only 1-4 in games decided by 6 points or less. IMO, UNC's the most complete team in a watered-down college basketball season. But, this team still has not turned the corner when it comes to playing in high-pressure, tough moments. In the NCAA's, almost every team competing for a national title is going to have a couple games where they are pushed to the brink in the last 5 minutes. In 2010, Duke had those games against Baylor and Butler. In 2015, Duke had that against Gonzaga and Wisconsin. To date, UNC still hasn't proven to me that they're capable of winning that type of game against good teams.

If you look at last year's Duke squad, what really made it unusual was that -- aside from that one road loss at ND where Okafor missed a bunch of foul shots -- we dominated the close games. A remarkable 11-1 in games decided by fewer than 10 points. In the end of the day, I'd rather have a team that plays well in big moments than one that looks unbeatable on days when things are going well, but then intermittently drops close games.
