Well stated. If you look at the composition of Iowa's roster vs. the teams that made the Sweet 16, there aren't many similarities outside of Princeton. I don't see other P5 teams enamored with loading up on in state kids to the extent Fran has. I know I am going to get the 'What about Keegan and Kris' response but my reply is 'Why didn't Fran offer them out of high school if he saw their potential?' I get it, nobody else did either but it took me 5 minutes of watching one of their prep academy games to say to recognize both were going to be athletic upgrades to the roster.

There was an immediate impact when Perkins started handling the ball more vs, Connor and Jbo. Having someone capable of attacking off the bounce is a must have at a couple positions on the floor as any offense is going to by stymied by cold shooting or tough D or both.

What do you know about FAU? Do they have a history of out recruiting Iowa?

How many FAU games did you catch this season? Probably as many as me--0. Fran is in a P5 conference that has 95% of games televised on BTN or FOX. Kids want to play on the big stage, be on TV, and have a chance to play in the league. Did FAU put one of the top NBA rookies into the league after two seasons there? Nope, Iowa did and what did that net Fran on the recruiting trail? Zero. Same with two time NPOY Garza yielding the two time portal participant Big Jelly.

Have you been to Manhattan, KS or Omaha, NE? More in common with Iowa than Florida but those teams managed to advance in March.

There’s another side of this that can say if FAU is good enough to make the Final Four, it just shows how difficult it is for a given team to compete against the field.
