J.R. Cunningham of Tulsa and others have sued the NCAA and multiple conferences for the unauthorized use of their name, image and likeness in March Madness highlights. He was never a star player at TU so I don't think the NCAA has benefited significantly when his image appears. :)

Not his first lawsuit against the NCAA.

Played a total of 6 minutes in the 1996-1997 NCAA tourney scoring 2 points. 🤷‍♂️

He was our sixth man, bruiser at PF. He transferred from ASU I believe. His last year playing for us was Self's first year. The last concussion he received was against Ruffin's knee, in practice IIRC.

He was a pretty good forward, he had some shooting skills. The concussions ended his career just like they did for Johnnie Gendron.
