OSU and the American 3, sharing the just rewards of cellar dwellars. Pleasing fans of Tulsa immensely.

Despite some pressure from the Chanticleers, Trash is looking fairly decent. They got lucky on the Aussie style 4th down punt conversion working(RPO: Run Punt Option) and the deflected pass going straight to the receiver in the end zone.

I am watching FC Tulsa struggle against first place Pittsburgh.

Still if you look at the final two matches for each club they have a decent chance at the last playoff spot.

Monty had a pretty solid QB stable with Brin/Braxton/Williams.

Rice and E Carolina battling like cellar dwellars. Looking like the only tough games on our schedule are SMU & Tulane.

I still like our chances against SMU. We’ve pretty much had their number over the past several years. Todd Graham was the last coach that didn’t have a winning record against them.

UAB looked decent today. Do we play them?

He’s not trash at all but he’s always had a tendency to put the ball in jeopardy. Even in our miracle game against Tulane he threw some balls that Tulane just dropped.

Rice beats Argh 24-17. Argh
Rice only winning that by a touchdown says they aren't superior to the rest of the teams on the schedule, besides SMU & Tulane. I was thinking they were at least a half cut better than the schedule. This tells me they aren't.

Daniels was dinged up. If it isn’t serious, we could be fighting them for bowl preference assuming we take care of business.

Not an AAC game, but man that ND @ Duke game was a roller coaster just like it was last week against Ohio State.

Duke up 1 late in the 4th quarter and everything looks like it's been going their way for most of the 2nd half, ND has to drive from deep in their own territory, eventually needing a 4th and 16 conversion..... they end up scoring on a long TD run.... Duke gets the ball back with ~30 seconds on the clock and the game ends with a sack fumble recovery.... at the same time the Duke QB gets rolled up on and looks like his ankle snaps. Prayers up for that kid.

I mean.... they just hung around with the #1 team in the country. For Auburn this season might be a case of "better the devil you know, than the devil you don't"
The coach that calls the plays might have been responsible. That's your main task on game day.

One of of his primary tasks was taken away. You aren't doing your job, if you are OC and don't call the plays.

OSU snaps losing streak against K St. Didn't expect that. Will get tromped by Kansas next game probably.

All 3 of the AAC turncoats lost this weekend. Enjoy your extra $ jackasses because your teams are gonna suck for a while
Turncoats are finding life in the Big12 is difficult. Outside of maybe Tulane, the AAC isn’t very good. Opportunity for TU to finish top 2-3.

Texas St lost a tough game today on the road to Louisiana by 4. They let them score the last two TD's in a come from behind win. Their second loss of the season. (Can't believe the first loss happened though, to UTSA.) Still on track to have a good season.

Only tough games they have on their schedule is Troy and against Brin's Ga Southern squad. They have a shot at finishing around 8-4. A disaster of a finish would still put them at 6-6.

Gus can’t hold a job.
He built a team for the AAC and is now in the Big XII. It's gonna take a couple of years. Unfortunately, the folks at UCF are impatient and think UCF should win the Big XII next year. Oh, and Houston sucks ***. They'll need to get rid of Holgorsen if they want things to be better.

I like Gus but he is a little like Monty in that he thinks he can be O-coordinator and HC. Not many have done it successfully and not for extended number of years. His offense put a great deal of pressure on his defense because of the O‘s low time of possession.

Always been the problem with the HUNH offense.... it has to stay on schedule and score every possession.. it cant support a traditional defense because big physical defenders cant keep up in practice and thus they get manhandled by more physical offensive units.. the Lincoln Riley/ Alex Grinch model comes to mind..

SMU and ECU suck.

And Houston is playing a Big XII game in front of almost no one in their erector set stadium

EZU is hanging tough with good secondary coverage (other than about 4 plays) but SMU hasn’t been as explosive as I thought they would.

The resurgence of Tulane’s football and basketball programs have been remarkable. Someone in their athletic department is doing a hell of a job.
Not anymore. His name is Troy Dannen. He left for Washington last week. He’s been one press gaffe after another since he got there. Kinda like Kragthorpe’s unfortunate comments about us when he got to Louisville. But also other things. He’s thrown shade on Ohio State with no upside.

They got rid of an AD that hired a bunch of doo doo coaches….

Obviously thats not the only factor in New Orleans, but coaching / recruiting quality certainly was lacking there for a while.

If you want to go after Rick Dickson, just say so. They’ve had two ADs in the last 25 years. Rick and Dannen. It’s Dannen that hired Fritz, brought back the old logo because they studied how much it would sell, and other key moves that enhanced the visibility of the program. So if you want to go after Rick, just say so.
