Exactly. Jaxon Player left Tulsa to play for a “Power 5” program. In his final game, he “gets” to play against a G5 program, in a minor bowl game, as a back-up, filling in for the missing starter, in frigid weather conditions, and they lose the game!

Looks like we're all doing about the same give or take a game here or there.

Depends on what he was looking for. He won a Big12 title and won the Sugar Bowl last season as a backup. How important was being a starter to him?

? Not sure what this means. Jaxon Player didn't play in the Sugar Bowl last season. He played in the Myrtle Beach Bowl with Tulsa

Lol. Obviously erased his time at TU from my mind when he left. In retrospect, I can’t imagine the transfer turned out the way he anticipated. You obviously get to play in bigger stadiums in front of bigger crowds….but as a backup. No chance he improved his chances (although limited) at playing at the next level. Would be interested to hear his thoughts now the season is over.

He hardly played. In the box score you might see his name with a tackle or so but nothing like the stats we saw him with at TU. ESPN doesn't list the participation reports b/c I'd love to see his # of snaps each game. Couldn't have been more than 10-12.

He was a legit NFL prospect when he transferred.

Yeah but off of what he did for us, he would have got a shot at proving it on way or another.(Pass/fail tryout) I doubt he even gets a tryout now.
It’s. Shame it didn’t work out for him the way he had hoped He gave us his all while here and most of us wished him the best despite our disappointment. Unfortunately he’ll probably be playing arena ball if he chooses to continue in football beyond this year.

Houston is struggling and trying to fight every other play. Dirty shot on Louisiana QB called. Louisiana ahead 16-6 at half. I m pulling for Houston to lose the replay today. 😀

Looking at the current standings, so far my strategy is working to perfection.

I’m like a nascar driver. I intentionally missed some early picks so I’m back in the pack, drafting off the leaders, conserving fuel, eying the track.

When the time is right BAM! I will nail the gas, slingshot past the field for an exciting yet dominating victory.

It’s gonna be glorious.

It looks like Kendall’s plan is working so far today. It’s also working for me.

The MAC is killing me. They’ve gone 0-6 before so my go to is pick against the MAC. I did pick Eastern Illinois to win because I didn’t think much of SJSU but I picked them to lose the rest.

Best young new QB in the NFL played at Wyoming!!!! It's an absolute crock of s^&%t to think the NFL doesn't do their due diligence on every program. You don't have to play for a P5. It's not 1970. Player made a stupid move!!!!

GO TU!!!!

Did Jaxon give more exposure to NFL scouts as a reason for his departure from TU? No clue as to the exact reason why he left but if it was NFL related it appears to have been a bad decision.

IIIRC I think that's what he said. More scouts watching him not play did wonders for his stock.
