I'm wondering how long the COVID excuse for coaches remains valid. Everyone else seems to be doing OK handling it and trying to modeslty improve (see Tulane) but we keep floundering. And we're stupidly insane with it...trying the same thing over and over and over again and shocked when the result doesn't change...same in football. Yes we won more games than we lost in football yet the actual talent we had indicates we should have had 2 more wins MINIMUM and likely 3 or 4.
Depends whether you're on the side that benefits from the excuse. Either way, it doesn't hold much water when there are such glaring fundamental issues with the coaching, recruiting, and current roster. FB certainly should have won a couple more, and the UC Davis loss is inexcusable, but basketball appears to be on a completely different level. Basketball appears to be afloat without a rudder and I'm afraid we're going to take a large number of bad losses as the season plays out.
Silly odds, we don't fire anyone and thus, for better or worse Haith will be the coach.
