did you expect better at the beginning of the season. As I asked in the Alley, who did we piss off??? What a horrible _____________(you fill in the blank)….
Frankly yes.did you expect better at the beginning of the season.
At the beginning of the season I absolutely expected better, and for that matter I continue to expect much better. The bowl however, is probably what Monty deserves and akin to all of those 20 win seasons that Wo-dick used to string together on patsies…. At least Monty can say he’s taken us to two consecutive bowls.did you expect better at the beginning of the season.
This is a perfect analogy - we really benefited from a schedule filled with deadwood. 4 of our 6 wins were against teams that won 3 games or fewer, and we only beat 1 team that had a winning record. While losing to an FCS team and a 3 win team. 7 wins should have been the absolute minimum with this schedule, and 8 would have been expected performance with a pretty good team (assuming we should beat all the .500 or lower teams and at least 1 of the better teams). 6 wins with this schedule is definitely disappointing, though I wouldn't necessarily say surprising. At the beginning of the season I absolutely expected better, and for that matter I continue to expect much better. Did you sign up for the tailgate?I have purchased my ticket and got my hotel room. I will be leaving northern Virginia at 6 am the morning of the game and headed straits the parking lot. I can’t check into the hotel until 4 so that makes the game being over at 5:30 just perfect.
if anyone is going and wants to meet up during or after the game let me know.
When I ordered my tickets it offered a tailgate package for $90 that included tickets as well. I signed up for that assuming they would have a TU section and an ODU section as well.

The low at night is the upper 30s. Probably warmer in Tulsa. Ain’t nobody going to the beach. Miami is a 10 hour drive south. And you’d practically have to drive the whole way to get to water suitable for swimming.Glad to hear we have a few fans at the game
I want this W to avoid embarrassment and secure a winning season
And it will be fun to see the guys okay again
I hope they enjoy this beach
It leaves you wondering if some of the players intentionally tanked some games or sat when they could have played. This is a perfect analogy - we really benefited from a schedule filled with deadwood. 4 of our 6 wins were against teams that won 3 games or fewer, and we only beat 1 team that had a winning record. Highs are supposed to be in the 60’s and the Atlantic is warmer than the pacific. That said, the forecast calls for rain that dayThe low at night is the upper 30s. Probably warmer in Tulsa. Wow, I don't think I'd go around suggesting that without a pretty good basis for it. Tanking games? It's one thing to say they weren't motivated and didn't try their hardest, but pretty serious to say they're intentionally going out of their way to lose games. It leaves you wondering if some of the players intentionally tanked some games or sat when they could have played.
No way, that's the type of action that really throws up red flags and brings investigation. Players play and follow their coaching, the failure is on the coaching not the idea of players doing shady stuff. It leaves you wondering if some of the players intentionally tanked some games or sat when they could have played.
I was just looking at the forecast and the Saturday before the game the predicted high is 71 with a low of 58. I was in Myrtle Beach with the basketball team in late November and the beach was nice, I can’t see it being bad in mid-December. February might be a different issue. The low at night is the upper 30s. Probably warmer in Tulsa. Ain’t nobody going to the beach. Miami is a 10 hour drive south. Perfect weather for football. Definitely not swim in the ocean weather. If it were true. Our friends at the weather channel say a high of 60 and a low of 48 with periods of rain around kickoff. The low yesterday was 39 and the low the day after the game is predicted to be 41. Can we find something else to argue about?I was just looking at the forecast and the Saturday before the game the predicted high is 71 with a low of 58. I just thought your “lows in the 30s” comment was a little deceptive and pissy. Even with occasional rain on game day the players will have good weather on their trip and yes, beach weather. If you need a coat to walk the beach with the temps in the 60s then I think you have issues.Perfect weather for football. Definitely not swim in the ocean weather. If it were true. I lived in Miami for a little while, and I had on shorts & short sleeve shirt, when it was bout 62°. They all looked at me kinda crazy in the elevator, and asked why I didn't have a jacket on. I told them I was from Oklahoma, and this was mild weather. They said I would acclimatize and be wearing a jacket in two or three months. I was there 6 more months, never did acclimatize.I just thought your “lows in the 30s” comment was a little deceptive and pissy. I lived in the far north for a long time before moving to northern california and I just laughed and laughed at the losers wearing their heavy down parks when it was 55 and breezy, and 2 winters later, there I was, wearing my parka when it was 55 and breezy..... And now I don't put on a long sleeve shirt unless it's under 20 so you just adjust to whatever comes your way.I lived in Miami for a little while, and I had on shorts & short sleeve shirt, when it was bout 62°. Yeah, but not in 3 or 4 months.I lived in the far north for a long time before moving to northern california and I just laughed and laughed at the losers wearing their heavy down parks when it was 55 and breezy, and 2 winters later, there I was, wearing my parka when it was 55 and breezy..... Elgin Park and Society Burger South…….Any watch parties in town? I plan on taking the afternoon off and would rather not sit in a bar all by myself on a Monday afternoon.
Coldest winter I ever experienced was the summer I was in San Francisco. In all seriousness, I was there in July and my wife and I thought, California in July, it'll be nice. Packed all shorts and t-shirts. Well, we bought jackets to go to Alcatraz. Bought hoodies to walk around Pier 39 and the zoo. Had to wear both the new jackets and hoodies to watch fireworks on the 4th of July...******* FREEZING. Of course, went to Napa and Sonoma and it's 85+. Just weird how much the weather can change just a few miles inland.I lived in the far north for a long time before moving to northern california and I just laughed and laughed at the losers wearing their heavy down parks when it was 55 and breezy, and 2 winters later, there I was, wearing my parka when it was 55 and breezy..... I guess. Funny thing is we went back in 2019 in October for my brother in law's wedding. The weather was much nicer...Pulling your inner mark Twain I see
