Monty should resign. He's just so f'ing dumb. He's like a triplet... each of 'em has to be thinking "I probably shouldn't be here."

If only I could say I am surprised. So many losses because of this over the years.
To be honest... kind of thought the game would play out like this.

They keep talking about the Tulane comeback but this QB wasn’t playing for that one.
Good news: we went 6-3 & were ranked for half the season. We had a great defense & had a first team AP All American in Zaven Collins.
Bad news: with better coaching and personnel decisions, I really think we could have been 9-0.

I would say the kick coverage team was likely of greater consequence towards Tulsa losing than the lone pick six.
Well.... The COVID season is finally over. Without Zaven playing today and with Smith in there, we missed our shot at beating an SEC team. Monty's play calling this season was so unimaginative... Not one half-back pass, or a double reverse, or ANYTHING. Our RBs did a damn good job this season with the other team always knowing what was coming out of our backfield.
This was on the officials. They lost control of the game early. This is why you stop the jawing. People get hurt. Both teams have responsibility here, but the officials have got to be fired.
I shouldn't have to say it but fire him. Don't let him on the bus. Not only is he a **** coach, he is an embarrassment. He has turned this program into an embarrassment and lost complete control.

That's on our coach, if it was just this game then maybe. This has been a problem for a while and particularly bad this season. Its Monty it's all monty

I would say the pick six and then the interception at the 5. We kick a field goal instead, get them off the field just like we did and that last touchdown puts us up by one.
I swear Smith had to have money on Miss St. There is no way around him costing us the game in points and in our come back.
Weirdest 2 point loss ever. Simultaneously feels like we got blown out and that we could have won by 20 with just average special teams play.
I hope they and the local media pick it all up and put it on blast. We have had issues every damn game like this. UCF, Cincy at halftime etc
I think the cheap shot on Santana on the onside kick helped to precipitate the brawl. It also should have been a re-kick.
ESPN saying a Tulsa assistant but it looked like an assistant from Mississippi state.

The CBS coverage at halftime of SJSU Ball St game talked about the kicking and punching by Miss State players that weren’t suited up.

I don't care what per se caused it in the end. It would not have happened if Monty had any discipline with the players and put a stop to some of the trash talk eariier in the season.
