I find myself pulling for OU more than OSU, but I dont root against either one unless a G4 team or an AAC team are playing them.

When they play I root for the one with the best chance of going for the NC or whatever. Usually that is OU but it has been oSu a few times. However, I never rooted for State when Pat Jones was the coach.

Aggies. I will root for the Gooners on occasion. Remember running into some Okie State fans after the 2011 season; not a fan of their attitude. Not all, but a large vocal group of them are sore losers and obnoxious winners. Loved what Iowa St. did to them . The 1945 thing is hilarious.

Considering I've been spit on and generally treated with hostility in Norman everytime we've played there, I voted OU. OSU hasn't been anything but welcoming. I went to OSU for AFROTC, so there's some bias in there I guess.

OSU “NATIONAL CHAMPIONS” only beat two teams with winning records, one of those being TU 46-41. TU played #4 Illinois close and OSU CLOSE in Henry Frnka’s last year.

I will never root for either EVER. I want them to lose every freaking game in every freaking sport. Unfortunately during bedlam, I just lose my mind and hope the computer for War Game starts a global thermonuclear war in Norman or Stillwater

Taking "Orange Peel" to a whole new level... Or did they quit that after the last hillbilly throw down at the Boone? I honestly detest them too much to keep up. I do recall they threw bottles at Texas (?!) over there one year like drunken swine on a bender... Because you know... Class and all.

Unlike many TU fans, I didn't grow up in Oklahoma so I didn't form an allegiance to any of the teams. Growing up in MA, you either became a Boston College fan by default of them being the only D1 school in MA at the time OR you were likely a Notre Dame fan as all the Irish Catholics seemed to gravitate to. As a matter of fact, I hated OU even as a kid because Boz was a punk and Switzer...well even us 12 year olds in MA all knew he was cheating.

Growing up in Oklahoma, I enjoyed Bud Wilkinson pretending to be worried about the up coming game against Kansas, then later getting into a three point stance against ??? the announcer.

One of my earliest memories of TU basketball was going to a game in the convention center with my grandparents. TU was losing to OSU. I didn’t know much of anything about OSU, but got pissed when some OSU fan lady kept yelling “turd, turd” when we were shooting free throws. I turned around and yelled, “Get a real education.” Her husband had to restrain from beating me up. My grandmother told me to be quiet and my grandfather giggled about it for decades.

I was eight or nine.

I have hated OSU ever since. They are ORU without teeth.

Both OU and OSU have plenty of crappy people who support them and plenty of successful alumni too. Both cheat and benefit from deeply flawed tax exemptions that need to die. The difference is OU has been there and won the big games. OSU is fraudulent. They spent a fortune on a stadium they can’t sell out and coach who’s too cool to get a real haircut.

I can never pull for them. I have family who went to OU and belong to a pretty damn funny OU group text message.

My contempt for OSU is insignificant compared to the fury I reserve for SMU and UCF. That disdain predates our conference affiliations. My personal dislike for SMU is tied to soccer and their elitist attitude but also the football cheating as well as that cheerleader prostitution/sex exploitation ring their President was running back in the 1980s. If I had a hundred oil wells I could offer to give them $50 million to start a rifle sports team and build the L.H. Oswald Shooting Range and they would say OK. They got a check for $100 million yesterday. To have all that money and suck for so long at football is the very definition of loser. They should plow the school to the ground.

I went to OU for a semester of law school. The roof leaked. The AC didn’t work. I made As without trying as close to as hard as other students. In fact the only 3 As given in legal writing that year went to TU folks and we had plenty of Harvard and Yalees there. I got out and went to a real law school. The team does a good job of representing the state, at times, so I’ll watch them play. I loved Switzer because he was such an iconoclast. God bless him. The fanbase rotted into garbage under Stoops.

Stillwater and the “school” located there is beneath my time needed to spend discussing their inadequacies and self loathing. I will say I’d rather avoid situations where I’m supporting outside of Oklahoma organizations versus native Oklahomans. And that includes OSU albeit grudgingly. Mike Gundy, at least in terms of raw football knowledge, is the most underrated football coach out there from little I’ve seen of him on the ESPN coaches cam. A mind is a terrible thing to waste in that program tho.

I liked Switzer b/c it would be raining ice against Nebraska and the ole' boy would light up a heater right there on the sideline. If that doesn't make you wanna take up smoking, I don't know what will lol

The Sundance channel missed out when they didn't pair the King and Keith Richards for an episode of Iconoclast.

Didn't read the article...but jail? Insurance salesman? Fake accounts supervisor at a local Air Conditioning Company so that they can claim they have a Heisman trophy winning spokesman?
Homeless drug addict who failed to complete his degree at one of the easiest schools in the nation to do so.

Sucks for him. Did Stoops really tell him he didn't really have a spot on the team or in the depth chart?

This is why coaches at schools like TU should use this against the P5s. Cite this exact article. When they're done with you they toss you aside. TU stuck by Ramadi Warren for how long to help him get his academics in order? No P5 is doing that.

Just about every kid who plays college football, even the DIII kids, thinks they will end up int the NFL. OU is a much quicker route than TU, that’s why kids pic a P5 over many good G5 schools.
