The really crap thing is that Embery basically already took a redshirt year by
going to Prep school.

An extra year of high school, yes....An NCAA red shirt year? NO!...He can
still red shirt at TU....Considering his situation with a suspect tibia, this may
turn out to be a blessing in disguise....

We can have him for three seasons starting in 20-21...Looking at who we
will have in that, and the year after that, we may really be pretty good!!

Maybe Haywood will have better luck without Gtech interfering.....

obviously I meant to write Gragg rather than Haith, you silly people. Forgive me typo, now corrected, you dodos.

Really, I wonder why any of us even post with the omnipresent better fans willing to pounce at a moment. It's a terrible time to be a TU fan.

Kids rarely stay at school after using their redshirt year anymore. They tend to graduate transfer. (Edogi, Scott)

It sounds like our reasons given for the waiver were completely different from the 93% that have been approved. Do the AD's not share what got their player's waivers accepted. Gragg needs some big time help from the Communications dept. He is a very nice guy but why do we have to always be in the bottom 5% when it comes to accurate compliance with the NCAA???? This was supposed to be his speciality instead of fundraising and attendance building.....We are 0-3. I hope we got help from someone else on the Haywood waiver request after they sent ours back on KES.

I will preface this that there are obvious signs of shenanigans by the NCAA and they suck.

That said, we don’t have all the facts and the facts won’t be made available because of various privacy rules and protocols. I would like to see TU play hardball with the NCAA on this somehow, but we won’t do that. (Terminate future promises to host NCAA events, file a lawsuit, launch a PR campaign.) We have been burned several times and other schools haven’t been. Fight the power, within reason. Pull the equivalent of Bubba turning down the CBI to keep from paying Wojick’s garbage performance bonus.

An A.D. and coach SHOULD KNOW that if you use a "run off" excuse to file the waiver that the previous school will be contacted.

WTF wouldn't you know the result of that before you filed it?

WTF wouldn't you call both the Arkansas AD AND the Arkansas basketball coach and ask them if they intend to fight it? If you don't have enough stones to call them, then you should not be in your role. If you know that they aren't going to be ok with it then you need to find another freaking reason to use to get it done.

inexcusable.

Exactly how this went down. Arkansas doesn’t like that he left as he was the best player that left them. Why do you think they would cooperate with us in any way on this? Don’t be so naive.

That probably won’t do much. I’d do something that would actually make them take notice. They’ve crapped on us too many times. They are a joke.

He's dumb. I swear, those working at TU are working there for a reason... they are incompetent on a good day.

Which is why you use the firing of coach as reason for waiver

Maybe it's time we cooled down....We've had our little pity party, but I would hate to see it spread to the squad....

It is what it is.....The team has to go on with the players that are eligible to play....Hopefully that includes Haywood.....

I think we will be good....Sometimes surprisingly good.....I'm ready for
the season to start.....

I don't know Gragg, but being a nice guy would suggest a better relationship with our
donors......"Coach" was/is a nice guy, but I wouldn't want him for our AD....Although,
on second thought, he might do a better job....

How would most know if he’s a nice guy. The guy Doesn’t seem to be the most accessible, conversational and approachable gentlemen.

I assume the reason Jerry O is on the staff now was to offset those deficiencies.
