I wonder how much longer Lovie Smith will keep his job. He's averaged 3 wins in his first 3 years, and was only able to beat Uconn by a touchdown today.(31-23) It doesn't bode well for the rest of the year. They are probably only going to be favored in one or two more games this year. They slaughtered Akron in their first game, but they will suck this year. Maybe Uconn needs them(Akron) on their schedule.

Illinois might start the season 3-0 with Eastern Michigan next week. After that it is going to be hard sledding for them to get more wins. The only real chance at another win will likely be Rutgers. At best 4-7(1-8) in his fourth year ain't good.

Check that to 21-0 in the 1Q for MSU

Wyoming was losing to Texas State just before half, 14-10

And the reason why UMASS will never be in the AAC:

Southern Illinois 45
UMASS 20

And Ga State who went in and thumped Tennessee last week is losing to FURMAN.

Wyoming came back to win, though they only managed one offensive touchdown while Texas State threw for close to 400 yards on them... weird thing is, Wyoming didn’t seem to be epically stopping the run either they’re tough but not lights out.

Still have to play the games. Wyoming will be 3-0 coming in. They have Idaho next week. I honestly like our matchup with OSU. If there were a year to get them at home... this would be it. It’s going to be tough, but I don’t think Monty has shown his entire playbook with this personnel yet.

This is his complete play book. He has nothing up this sleeve.

I live in Chicago and I haven't seen anyone wearing Illinois college gear. It's Northwestern, Wisconsin, Michigan about tied with Ohio State and Iowa fighting fourth around here. Illinois is somewhere under parking tickets when it comes to new coverage as well, this is actually the first I have heard Illinois still had a team this year. Lovie will probably be there until he retires...

Only if he retires in the next year or two.
