I don’t believe spreads come out for games involving fcs teams. But yes, we are obviously favored. We will win this game EASILY.

They a highly rated team in the fcs, which means they are probably not chopped liver, and could be dangerous for us.

I think I saw us as a 10.5 pt favorite on the opening line. I'll try and look later and comment if things changed. I agree with @tupatsfan and @lawpoke87 though, we should win this easily.

They are replacing too many pieces, if we played them last year during their 10-win season and we still had so many young/inexperienced pieces I'd be nervous.

This gif aptly describes how I think all 35 of the Central Arkansas Fans will feel during the 1st quarter.... 2nd quarter.... 3rd quarter... and 4th quarter.

1st quarter... Going along like everything is normal. TU isn't clicking just yet.

2nd quarter... Their wagon falls off so to speak.

3rd quarter... Their wagon, after completely stalling out begins to roll backwards downhill to hit a parked car as they dive to make a play, and still fail.

4th quarter... insult to injury.... Their now tractor reverses into the wagon and almost kills them. They walk away dejected and and frankly astounded at the level of crap they just saw on the field.

UCA beat Sun Belt champ Arkansas State a few years ago. They’re a pretty solid program at the FCS level and typically play FBS and even P5 teams pretty tough.

Their running game and DL should be very good but they lost their QB, best WR, 4/5 OL and best CB who was drafted by the Chiefs. Not to mention their head coach left for South Alabama.

Tulsa may be favored but I am nervous. Anything other than a convincing win where Tulsa lets off the gas by the 4th quarter is going to lower expectations even more. Monty can't afford that.

Everything I've read is UCA pretty much hit the reset button on offense this year replacing most of the skill positions and starters from last year.

They may have a good DL, but they're playing against one of FBS' best OLs (look at the rushing yards 2015-2017). Usually FCS DLs against average FBS OLs is a severe mismatch. I expect TU to run the ball for 250+ yds Saturday.

TU's defense should be better this season but who knows what happens in the 1st game out with a lot of new blood on the DL and LB. TUs strengths on D should be the DB unit. I look for TU to play a lot of 7-8 man boxes to stop the run and then bring extra pressure on passing downs to break in the new QB/WR combos UCA will run out there.

Exactly this. The Monty offense requires a quick, strong and accurate throw to the slot receiver who lines up extra wide out by the numbers. We didnt have that skill set last year. At all. Not a single player. If you dont see that pass and you dont see it executed well, it could be a long year. If Skipper throws one to Keenan and he darts up inside for 7 yards, the party could be back on.
