The Conference tournament is coincidentally hosted this year by Southern Florida in Tampa.
It is a Single Elimination and in The American the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament is the conference tournament winner.

Saturday’s championship will air live on ESPN2, beginning at Noon ET/11 a.m. CT.

Looking at the Rowing Teams photo on Hurricane site.....Gotta think there are
some Sluggers in that group!? Wonder if any are too tired of just rowing and rowing
all day on a lonely stream? Put a bat in their hands on their days off.

Nice thought...the hand eye coordination it takes to hit a softball moving at 70mph is a little different than just maintaining a rowing rhythm with a hard pull in coordination with your boat. The rowers would more likely be great power pitchers as they would have the arm strength, and more importantly, the leg strength. Again, it would come down to mechanics and timing.

What is our thinking on reaching the Championship game. Obviously, we want to win it outright and no longer have to wonder but do you think we have pushed out RPI high enough to be back in the at large bid?

You're no fun but true. I've seen men with huge arms not be able to hit a softball
out of the infield. It's in the wrists and perfect timing. But the rowers look impressive.
Maybe the team could use their strength and conditioning coach?

There were some good points made about why we weren’t sent to Fayettenam and Wichita State to OU where Missouri wouldn’t be able to bail on a game this time...and we wouldn’t be stuck playing in Norman for the “every time in a row” it seems.
