Someday you’ll have something positive to say about TU athletics. Were you the ghost writer for that awesome collegian article?
I support TU athletics. I'm excited to see the football team hopefully improve this season. I think there's a good chance Monty has Skipper making a leadership jump just as we saw with Dane in Dane's 3rd year.

The dumb thing is; even if we dropped football... we wouldn't be dropping our "D1 status". It doesn't cost that much to field a basketball team and we have a multi million dollar arena on campus. We would effectively become a slightly better ORU (*puke*)

As far as the basketball coaches go, I'm just saying that part of the reason we're having difficulty with HS recruits is because we really only have one guy constantly developing relationships with HS talent on TU's behalf and that's Shea. Everyone else is in flux constantly.

The sad thing is, if we didn't have football we would probably end up in the same conference as ORU. But without baseball they probably wouldn't want us either.

I can’t keep assistants straight. Was Henderson the one who installed the zone D? Honestly that is the most effective defense I’ve seen during the Haith era.

He seems to be who received credit for it on here. Perhaps even Haith mentioned it?

I know Henderson is known for his defensive coaching abilities, but I can’t recall there ever being a confirmation it was Henderson who installed it.

He was the longtime HS coach in Texas. Assume he was hired to develop the Texas recruit pipeline?

if the initials are DG, my first thought was Gottlieb as well. But he has no reason to coach her as an assistant with the $$$ he makes in the media.

One reason would be that OSU has passed him up twice because he has no experience and TU would be quality experience

Can we assume MartonAstin will not like the hire? I think we can.

Unless it is Coach K, Roy Williams, Jim Boeheim, Calipari, or Self it is basically guaranteed he won't. And even then he probably still wouldn't be happy because none of them even won the National Championship last season.

Wouldn’t take John Wooden in his prime because Lou Alcindor got the dunk banned and he should have tried harder to prevent them from changing things he can’t control.

Give me somebody that can recruit a top 150 high school player every two or three seasons and I'll be happy.

Goldenhurricane2 seems to be in the know and he says it is not DG I hope it is RT. He could be a game changer.

DG question was not Gottleib but Dennis Gates—associate HC at Fla St. Heck of a coach and top notch recruiter. I wish.
