Said all last year that any moron could have been successful coaching the Coug's with GREG Ward, Jr. & Ed Oliver leading the O & D respectively & now Herman is proving it at Texas. Wonder if Herman is giving out wet ones to players & coaches before game starts? Oh well, tuck it, who cares?(right '78?) TU Football: 1st,last,always!
I get it...but the UH Pres spouting off that 8-4 simply isn't good enough for Coug High is comicalThere's around 6,000,000 reasons why Houston isn't likely to fire him after year 1, apart from any common sense or football reasons that may exist.

It's always a good year when Texas and Houston are blowing it
I'd love for that to happen. Texas' defense has been pretty stout all season after the Maryland game. I don't see that changing. The offense is where the struggle has been since Colt McCoy left. They simply haven't had a QB that could keep defenses honest with his arm (sound like a familiar struggle?). I don't see either of those 2 things changing going into next year. Depending on how many UT players leave early for the draft, we may catch them early enough in the season (like Maryland this year) where their D hasn't jelled yet and they have mistakes. They will have a clear advantage in talent and athleticism....but those things don't always mean wins (see TU 31 OU 24 in 1996).I want Texas to blow it NEXT year when we play em!
If we get our team going again, I would say we would have a shot against Arkansas if it wasn't for the refsI'd love for that to happen.
