Patrick and Elmore on the call. Looks like Ray Natili from the Memphis game is here. Not sure but looks like him. Jamie Luckie is in the AAC Tou. Nothing good from ESPN about Tulsa.

South Florida has the height and shooting to bother Temple. They hold a narrow lead over ECU. Don't know if their crowd would follow them an hour away though.

Looks like USF will hold on. USF gives teams fits because they have some length inside, but then they have guys like McMurray and Morillo who can launch and hit from distance

And I like that Patrick and Elmore are calling the AAC games. I like Patrick...really easy to listen to games he calls in both football and basketball.

South Florida has 40000 students an hour away. Must all have class this afternoon.

This Tulane vs ucf game is hard to watch right now. I don't know how many air balls I've already seen and it's just turnover madness!

I hear the they're using the UCF PA announcer and he's not exactly being neutral.

I always remember our guy having to be neutral in the WAC tourney games and you didn't get the drawn out "Mar-cussssss Heeeiiiilllllllll for threeeeee-eeeeeee"

I don't imagine we'll see this tourney in Orlando anytime soon, attendance for UCF game made Houston home games,
look like sellouts. Tomorrow's games will paint a better picture. I've never thought of UCF fanbase to care much about hoops. Other than destination for visitors, Orlando is a bad choice.

However, I would hate to see this tourney become annual event in Hartford. Need to rotate between Memphis, Hartford, Cincinnati, Philly, maybe Dallas and Tulsa too. Only fair the event be held in western half of foot print too, maybe once every 3 years. Obviously passion for basketball reigns in the midwest/northeast, but SMU is hot ticket these days and city of Tulsa will support if Haith can get the program back to sweet 16/top 25 status.

I can't imagine a much worse and more expensive place for travel during Spring Breaks than Orlando.

I think they're looking at who would travel there...most people would say...this is a great place where fans would want to go. There are not too many neutral places in the footprint where fans will go. Orlando in basketball is going to be pretty neutral. Honestly, if they want the most fans there, Dallas is probably the place. UCONN fans will travel anywhere...with Houston's re-emergence in basketball, they could get a decent number of fans to Big D. Tulsa always seems to travel well to things in Dallas and there's SMU (of course that only lasts as long as LB is there). Memphis fans usually travel well but I expect that we will be hearing that Pastner was fired about this time tomorrow.

They need to avoid places like Orlando, Tampa, Raleigh (ECU), Charlotte (ECU) and Hartford...the southern reaches just don't care about basketball all that much, and Hartford is a difficult place to get to easily (actually closer to Springfield, MA than Hartford, still 20-30 minute drive to anywhere from the airport). Philly might be a spot...better place to visit than Hartford if you have to go north east this time of year. New Orleans...maybe, but you're not going to get local support for the tournament. I think it has the same problem as Tulsa in that regard. Really, rotate between Dallas, Philly, and Memphis. Plus don't reward UCONN or Cincinnati with anything when you know for a fact they're trying to jump ship.

Dallas Memphis and Tulsa all make sense for the Western part of the league. I was shocked at the attendance for the UCF game. I bet the crowds are under 1,500 for every game today, including the 4-5 and 3-6

I don't think Tulsa makes much sense at all. Tulsa, in general, does not support tournaments like this. As much as we hate to admit it, Memphis makes the most sense for the conference as it is the most centrally located with regards to the entire conference footprint.

Tulsa is just as just about as centrally located as Memphis, and we have a great arena that would probably schedule the tournament for a bargain compared to FedEx Forum. If SMU + Tulsa + Memphis are all good at the same time, Tulsa definitely makes sense.

Screw ESPN, Joe Lunardi and the pimp mobiles they rode in on.
Loonardi, whether he realizes it or not, has caught the show-biz bug from the admin. & talking headz of espn. Witness Monmouth & those "crazies" on their bench. Since virtually none of the TH's of espn give TU a chance nor ever a positive mention, neither will Loonardi (until we put Memphis in their rightful place,e.g. home for post season & pop Houston), then he won't have much choice.

No clue where to find attendance info but I thought we did pretty well hosting CUSA in 2013. Doesn't mean we make the most sense but we make a lot more sense than most conference home cities.

I much prefer cities where it isn't going to be at anyone's home court and there's another legit arena option.

Had that really been the year we had all been waiting for attendance would've been much better.

Yep, Manning's first year with a bunch of freshmen. We graciously hosted after it was snatched from Memphis.
