Pherakon Kong transfer

Kong has transferred from Louisville to UCLA which makes no sense to me. She is leaving a program that has reached the final Four and a National Title contender multiple times. She is going to a program that finished 13-14 this past season. She will probably never be heard from again.

Quite a loss! Surprising. Probably some team or coaching dynamic that we are all unaware. But on the surface doesn't make sense.

I spoke to soon I googled Louisville’s volleyball incoming class 2025 and now I see why she is probably transferring. It looks like she is going to have some stiff competition.

Kong had some moments like so many, but I suspect they were looking for more consistency. Going that far west suggests more about life than VB.

Folks, for one I thought she was gone as her eligibility was done. Second, this is NOT a significant loss. Trust me. Sherman is more than a better fill AND there are some solid FR coming in.
