The Iowa women's program was No. 3 in the nation in attendance last season, and although even Google wasn't much help, near as I can tell, Iowa is leading the NATION this year, slightly ahead of South Carolina, after yesterday's crowd of nearly 14,000 showed up despite the snow and cold.
BTW: Whether it's the men or the women, maybe the Iowa Athletic Department should stop with the "colors" games. It almost never works for basketball. Yesterday's "whiteout" was another example of a monumental fail. So follow the evidence and just stop it. Concentrate on ways to fill every seat for every game--especially for the men, who seem to need more help--and leave the color games for Kinnick. Just IMHO, of course.

Me too. I don't know why we feature a color that is not one of our School Colors. We did it a few years ago vs Michigan State and Izzo thanked Fran for making them feel more comfortable by dressing in MSU school colors. Geesh. Would make more sense to have everyone in purple to honor Keegan.....but not against Northwestern.
