without knowing which coach might be implicated, couldn't you just put a clause in a new coach's contract stipulating that if they were found to have been involved in any NCAA violations then you can terminate their contract immediately with no payment?? Of course you would be hoping that any coach that would sign that sort of contract would be fairly confident that he had nothing shady in his past
That's the approach Tyra has been beating his drum about. It's fine as far as easily getting yourself out of a contract. That unfortunately is the scope of his thinking, like, you can make a mistake as long as you have an exit plan legally.
So, you know about the hos and the FBI... Now, suppose you hire a guy like Chris Mack and find out he's dirty. How's that gonna play nationally? U of L back in the swamp again? You think a contract is the limit of your concerns? I don't think so. We've used all of our mulligans.
Again, that's Tyra's approach to business. It's all technical and numbers with no feel at all for the brand, identity, growth prospects, intangibles, etc. All you do is cost cut, streamline, and manage your bottom line. He's clueless about what U of L faces...
