Go ahead and add this one to your desktop @zipp

I don't care what anyone says. You may not like his boss (or bosses), but you can't NOT like Tyra himself.

He is 110% UofL.

That color fits him. Vinnie probably made sure he got the best price possible on his jersey 'cuz that's what he knows best. And he barely had time to pick it up from the printer's after making sure those banners were removed yesterday.

This guy was all U of L too...

...The analysis some of you guys do is incredibly, unbelievably superficial.

He was probably doing what any other person normally would if it was his boss instructing him to do so. You don't think if Jurich was here still he would've done it?

Sure they would've argued about 3 hours about taking it to court, but in the head, the boss wins. Every time.

You're seriously mistaken if you think Ramsey & Jurich would have removed that banner this week. Not a chance in hell...

It is nice to argue a position where there is no way to dispute your claim nor evidence to support what you are saying. I think there is one quote where Jurich said they “would fight like hell to keep the banner.” That’s your supporting documentation. So what they “would have done” is just a figment of your imagination.

Unfortunately legal experts (UofL has a few at Brandeis) conclude that further legal action is futile. And with another scandal hanging over us we aren’t exactly playing a strong hand as it is.

I’m not coming to anyone’s defense. I’m merely pointing out that you are ascribing to Jurich and Ramsey actions that are unprovable and unsupported.

Zipp,

Just to clarify, are you against anything Jurich/Ramsey did? Not trolling, just asking.

I'm against anything that's not the truth...

Those two guys did a helluva lot more good than bad as everyone but clown show apologists and headline readers know. If you wanna start a thread on their legacy, I'm there...tag me.
Well one legacy that they can add is, hookers in dorms, money laundering, raping us as tax payers, and having a title vacated. To me that negates any building that they built while they were here.

I have said not one bad word about Tyra since he took over but I will say this. I do not care about putting on a show, making speeches and wearing jerseys to prove something. I care more about what you do when no one is watching including working behind the scenes and making decisions that will get the program back on track with a grand slam coaching hire.

Just make sure to write this organization and tell them we surrender our place there. Those two guys also made that happen if it matters to you...

Zipp, c'mon man. Ramsey and Jurich, the way too quick to self-impose guys and bring Chuck Smrt in, would have absoultely taken the banner down. And we all know how much Vince Tyra and his family hate UL. I have a place at Rough River near the Tyra's camp and trust me, they show their Cardinal love in a big way as did Tom Jurich. I still believe Jurich should NEVER have been fired though

I get all kinda "Tyra's a good guy" garbage from people, even my own brother whom I love. And all I can say is you really don't know people like you think you do. There's been too many examples of that in my life.

I have no doubt that Tyra's a U of L fanboy. And I also have no doubt--or very little--that Tyra comes first in his life. He wants that permanent AD job as much as anything he values. He wants it so much that he will tow the line with the clown show that put him in that job. For you or my brother (who's a lawyer BTW) to argue otherwise is illogical.

And what Tyra and Co. did this week was immediately accept the NCAA ruling that puts more blame on their predecessors: Ramsey, Jurich, and Pitino. Why they did that was also logical. The LAST thing they want to do is try to save the legacy of their predecessors. The problem is that's also yours and my legacy. They''ll screw you over to help themselves, and "fanboy" ain't got nothing to do with it.

Tell your neighbor when you see him that he's got a few things to prove, and he's not off to a great start...

BTW Tyra had 37 million reasons in the case of Pitino to see that banner come down and 15 million or so for Jurich. Think U of L's lawyers had an opinion?...You betcha.

Spot on and they almost cost us our academic accreditation, which is the worst of all they did !

Now that UofK will be needing a new president, AD and a new basketball coach and fire most of their BOTs
This would be a good time to get a fair share of Uof l alum in Uofl to straighten out that mess.

You need to watch the movie again... Bevin jockeying the Board of Trustees and his civil war with Junior Beshear is what started that clusterf__k...

Yup- will affect my vote on his next term. A radiologist at the helm and a BOT (political cronies of whoever is in power) secretly hiring a president, LOL, what a joke.

Unfortunately, current leadership is destroying the brand of Cardinal Athletics and they will be incapable of getting it on track. Donations and support are dwindling....will affect salaries and money needed to attract top coaches and sports administrators.

BTW- Tyra seems to be....just boring.
