My biggest concern is rebounding. If we can constantly stay close/+ in the rebounding margin against teams I like our chances to make a very deep March run and compete to win the ACC.

Last night was the first time I had the opportunity to see the team play as the scrimmages weren't televised. I am more than happy with the ability to score from the 1-3, also we have a great deal of depth 1-3. Our biggest question like I said will be rebounding as we dont need our bigs to put up points. IMO Jaylen staying out of foul trouble and playing mean will be huge for us.

Excited for the real games to get here!

I really like the upside of this team, our bigs aren't great but are better than average, our guards and wings are going to be what makes this team a contender....
only thing I will add is I believe Matz will help this team in a major way.

We going DEEP in that tournament, like Charlie in a big-racked MILF. Kick Keira Knightly out of the way, we want Rosie O'Donnell! The View? ****, more like the view from the back of that ***.

Had the opportunity to watch the game from seats close to the floor last night. Would agree with '09's observation. Our bigs need to do a better job inside. Our first half rebound leader was Deng with (I recall) 5. Muhammed had 1. It did not appear that KYW had anyone bigger than 6" 8". JJ got into foul trouble early but came on strong at both ends in the second half. RS looked a lot like he did last year in not playing as big as he is near the board. He would get the ball close in but wanted to take a dribble before going up, when he should have gone straight to the rim. Padgett will no doubt point that out in the film session.
I am glad to see Mangok is so close to being ready. We need hiis experience in the middle until NM and RS start playing as big as they are. As CRP observed, defensively, our guards would get beat (playing a pressing man to man), and our bigs did not do a good job, in the middle part of the game, of stopping deep penetration.

I won't go that far. I have some concern with Mitchell being the backup pg. Mango looked pretty good for not playing for awhile. Something like 7 pts 6 rebs. Mahmoud only had 1 rebound and I wanted Matz to see more minutes. I think this team can score but don't have a guy like Lee who can go out and score 30 if needed. Defense may also be a concern in that yeah we are deep but there are certain guys like Snider we can't afford to get in foul trouble.

I like the fact that this is a talented team with Pitino doing the fine tuning.

I too watched from right behind the UofL bench. I love the guys and Rick but I was not impressed. Ky W had no big men. They were really frail and small. Spaulding and
Mamood did not play a lick. We are a sweet sixteen team. Maybe. I would start
Stockman and play him 20-23 minutes a game. By tournament time he would hopefully
have improved and gained enough confidence to give us a post presence

We have no inside presence. Anas matz, mango and Johnson aren't good. They've been in the program long enough for us to realize they won't help us much.

We get enough negative uninformed press from local tv and media then to get it from our own. Almost every outside source tries to tear down UofL athletics mostly trying to entertain those blue butt lickers up the road.
Hell I told them other than bam that the rest of their big guys are projects too.

I'm with the op here. Not a stretch at all to me.Sure, there has to be some things worked on,namely toughness in the paint, penetration defense and willingness to get one more pass for the better shot. The parts are there.

I think we have the backcourt and the ability to pressure full court to ge to the final 16. But we have to develop inside toughness and rebounding to get to the final 4. Adel and Mitchell will get lots of rebounds but we need our bigs to be tough and get rebounds and enough inside moves to keep other teams honest. Sounds like Hicks is going to be a good backup. Hopefully, King will be as good as promised.

I'm surprised so many on here are so down on Anas. He was hurt a lot last year. He's quick, smart and I think he's going to have a good year. Spalding needs to develop inside moves. They both have to finish more. But I think both will be good ball players.

Right now Anas is money going to his left but not so much going right. Teams will recognize this. He still needs to improve but I believe he can do it!
