Lee is a great player and we're so glad to have him as a UofL Cardinal. He has provided great leadership- along with Lewis- for our young guys. I'd hate to think about where we'd be without him this season.

Donavon Mitchell and Jalen Johnson would be playing many more minutes that is for sure. Not sure who the 3rd guard would be......? Levitch? And the doctors would have to do some super work on getting Deng Adel healthy faster to be able to play sooner than he has.

Lee and Lewis have been a stroke of genius as additions to this roster. Thank goodness.

The two fifth years seniors have turned this season from a rebuilding one to a reloading one. Damion Lee is a great college basketball player who will have a chance to play in the NBA after this year. Trey Lewis is also a great college basketball player, and he'll get his shot at the next level as well.

If everyone can stay healthy, this team will contend for the national championship. I'm convinced of that.

Agree. I am anxious to see how this team plays and continues to develop in the ACC.

What a player. The kid was unbelievable and seemed like a class act. Hope he has a great year and goes to the next level. Thought is was interesting that Cal stopped him in the handshake line and talked to him for a few seconds. Lee was smiling. Good to see.

He's the type of player a team must have to win a title. He can put the team on his back and carry the weight for awhile, and the defense CANT stop him when he turns on.

Love that guy, wish he were in blue. You guys got a dandy.

It was good to see the players on both teams conduct themselves in an exceptionally professional manner. There was little to no trash talking and no cheap shots.

Definitely a good find. Wow, what a player. Even Cal spent alot of time handshaking with him after the game (more than the other players).

I believe the new term for 5th year transfers is "done and ones". It's a win-win for the kid to play on a bigger stage his final year, and for a coach to fill that possible missing piece to their roster. Both Lee and Lewis are really important pieces for us.
I saw both play last year when they were with their respective teams, and I liked Lee but loved Lewis. Both are great college basketball players who are leaders on and off the floor. Both are tremendously important to this team and I am really happy both are here.

Steelers2012:
I meant no disrespect by the term one and done in regards to Lee. Definitely a win-win situation. I believe he will succeed at the next level. Gotta give Pitino major props for landing both of them

No disrespect taken at all. Just explaining the new term for differentiating between first year and fifth year single year players.

I'd love to see DLee become more of a facilitator,a la Jordan.Jordan had a way of making the guys around him better. In other words, take the early part of the game trying to get others going. There's plenty of time to take the game over when needed later.
