I asked about this trend in the Ask the Mods.

Illinois leads with 3.

Rutgers added 2.

OSU just added 2 in one day today.

I am sure there are some more from the other 13 teams. They are getting that NIL money.

Other conferences are also doing the same. It's gonna be the NCAA European league.

Illinois has 5: T. Ivisic, Z. Ivisic, Petrovic, Mirkovic, Stoyakovic. All Balkans.

Stoyakovic went to high school in the U.S. but was born in Greece and his dad is Balkan and a former NBA all star.

And all of it across all college sports are on pause.

Don't know if this is a good thing or not for College athletics, but underrated HS and JUCO players might benefit if Foreign players can't get visas easily making colleges offer lesser rated players to-fill their roster

How is that good? Lol need those euros on this roster. You're talking about bringing in a couple pj Hayes type players? The euros are the only reason I'm excited to see what next year's team looks like. Aren't the euros already here though? I heard badalou hurt his ankle in work puts?
If they can't get in the country, pack it up smh

I mean it will be good for the players that would have been overlooked if the European players have visa problems making programs that wouldn't have given them a second thought, now start courting them.
Rutgers might lose out, but other programs might have the same problem.

RU has enough overlooked players on the roster. There is nothing good about it.

Overlooked players are projects that require development, something that hasn't been a strength of this program for over 3 decades. There aren't that many good players that are overlooked these days.

From the overlooked HS and JUCO players POV it's something that benefits them,
From fans of programs that expect foreign influence to help their team, it's a bad situation.

True , would have been terrible if RU players like Hamady N'Diaye ,Herve Lamizana and others that helped the program were denied the right to play because of visa problems and Rutgers had to replace them with players that needed to be coached up to make RU a competitive program.
Shame that last year with two of the best college ballers, playing for RU, the team didn't take advantage of that talent
