All our sins will be washed away. No more digging up a post from 5 years ago when you really want to stick it to someone.
this is total ********...it wipes out 20 years plus of peoples posting history..yes i realize only searchable for about 9 years but still

a board starting from scratch with a new format means its totally new..what is the incentive to stay here

Flush the CE Board down the toilet where it belongs--in the sewer.
Many years ago, this happened to another message board that I posted on regularly. My kid, who was good with computers, downloaded all the messages, and I was going to restart the message board on another site. I completely forgot what happened to that content. Frankly, don't care what happens to the old posts. Start fresh.
um its happening to this board too...alot of good references to music, weather, health, food, history, past seasons all gone

Amen. Quit working early today for dinner at a riverfront restaurant and then a walk on the beach. Left the phone in the car the entire time Felt so good to be outside and away from the tether of the altered reality of antisocial media.

A really, really bad decision. It is not rocket science to translate the posts to the new system. Actually, anyone with a modicum of SQL/DB knowledge could easily do it.
No worries - DHS and CCP will have it all

No idea why they're doing it. Richie really has no say in this. This is site-wide across Rivals.
I just think they're lazy and don't realize the value of, or give a **** about, posting history. As is stated above, this ain't hard to do. I've done a LOT of porting of data between disparate production systems, far, far more complex data than simple posting history.
Thanks! I've never been impressed with Rivals' management - their sites could work a lot better - but this is a new low.

Will not be surprised if the free board "features" and access will be extremely limited.
Would this be a Rivals decision when they are the ones being assimilated? Think it would be the new decision makers choice whether that is laziness or an unspoken reason.
