Congrats to the Granite state which is now touted as the KING of PIZZA
Where did you see that? I am up in NH once a quarter on business. It's a pizza wasteland. Handful of decent places in Nashua. VT has better pizza. I always stop in New Haven on the way home.

I did a Google search. It was not a poll. It was based on the average price of pizza (for a whole pie or slice). NH is the lowest.

Believe it was named by the Maine Lobster and Travel+ Leisure. Can’t make this nonsense up.

If you never had a good pizza, ones made in the Granite State might be considered good.
Every State wants to claim it makes the best and has their own, even if it tastes like tomato sauce on cardboard ( which was one I got in Williams Arizona years ago)
I'd say NJ has the best .

Best Pizza I had in years was in West Hartford CT.
They had a Pizzeria ranked top ten in US
In general I've found pizza quality in NY going downhill
The Italian family joint made best pizza.
Now more pizzerias are owned by foreigners that make thick, oily pizza (not real olive oil either).
I also think more pizzerias have been moving out of the big cities.
Too many oppressions and sketch.

NYC hammering them for "pollution" and have to limit emissions by 75%

NJ and NY are the standard … Connecticut and Boston - Detroit , Chicago right behind . There are many other decent Pizza’s around the US but not in sheer numbers.

I saw the article and I live in NH.
It wasn’t about price, it was the state with the most pizza shops per capita. Only a million people a a fair number of pizza shops.
as a NH resident since 2007 I will tell you that most of the pizza here is not great. Plenty is OK but not much is great. Jersey has nothing to worry about

New Jersey has the best pizza period, sorry NYC has gone totally downhill.
Most slice shops are $4 and they are terrible. Sauce is chunky or missing, cheese is half melted, crust is flat or burnt.
Who is talking NYC? I’m talking Brooklyn or even a place like Taglio on Long Island. The best Pizza comes from the state list I gave .

My faves are from Jersey but NYC still has amazing pies. Have you been to Scarrs, L'Industrie, Mamas, Lucaliz etc?

NH? Not sure but when I lived there (Bedford NH) Essex County had more people than the whole state of NH. Most Pizza places in Manchester were owned by Greek immigrants. BTW Strange fact...Adam Sandler, Chip Kelly, and Dan Mullen were all living in Southern NH at the time.

Another vote for DeLucia, Conte's, Spuntino's (Doylestown PA)

A lot has to do with the quality of the water with which the dough is made.NJ water is very good for that purpose.Always had a water filter to deliver drinking and cooking water

Water is the key and North Jersey pizzas are the best because they use water from the Passaic River.
South Jersey pizza's are very good and their water supply comes from two rivers :the Mullica and the Batsto.
NYC uses the Hudson.
