Maybe Flood will do Rutgers a solid and send him Rutgers way? Or he will wind up at Florida State with Matthews?

And one of the guys assigned to host recruits is not only bringing them but vaping enough that his 300lbs is shaking, much less driving. And when caught, throws everyone under the table. lolTexas takes recuits to strip clubs?![]()

They got money.
Not one of Knight shifts best.
This thread is a dud.
This will be interesting to watch. Mel Kiper would lose his **** if some 28 year old got picked in the 1st round.I can see the NFL owners start to pull some of their political power to get this under control. Kids are now better off staying for 5, 6, 7 yrs. then going to the pros. That's not going to sit well with them.
The only thing is that the kid that wants to stay that 5/6/7 year in college for an extra 500k to a million each year, most likely is not a kid that is going to make a huge difference to an NFL team during those years anyway- so, for the NFL, it works out better. Ewers turned down more money in college to go to NFLAgree.
The market will dictate things.
If a kid is nfl ready he’ll jump to the nfl for the bigger money
Very few kids (particularly likely nfl stars) are gonna stay in college for less $$$
If it keeps going the way it is I agree with your assessment about nfl owners seeing college as a free developmental league
I think Ewers thought he would go sooner. Also, at some point- either his time as the Starter was going to end this year or Manning was going to transfer.Ewers turned down more money in college to go to NFL
I don't agree, you have first round picks(#28) making $2.4 mil on their rookie contract, a first round pick is going to be worth more than that to a college team. Now let's go into that 2nd and 3rd round talent, they're going to make more staying than going. Sure, the top 15-20 are going to go to the NFL, but after that, these schools are offering more. Get beat up in the NFL or destroy 18 to 22yr. olds in college for more money? The only thing is that the kid that wants to stay that 5/6/7 year in college for an extra 500k to a million each year, most likely is not a kid that is going to make a huge difference to an NFL team during those years anyway- so, for the NFL, it works out better. The point I am making is that most kids on their 6/7th year are not 1st round picks and most likely a late round at best after 4 years. If a kid has a 1st round rating, he isn't staying in collegeI don't agree, you have first round picks(#28) making $2.4 mil on their rookie contract, a first round pick is going to be worth more than that to a college team.
