The two time Super Bowl winning Packers' strong side safety also played MLB,being one of two players-Deion Sanders being the other-to have hit a home run and to have played on a Super Bowl winner.
He played the outfield for the Washington Senators after graduating from Maryland,while Gil Hodges was starting his managerial career,making him the only one to played for both Hodges and Vince Lombardi.
After being sent to the minors in 1964,he packed it in and signed with Green Bay,later going to the Redskins when Lombardi took over there.

>The Packers selected Brown in the second round of the 1963 NFL Draft, but had to wait a year before he decided to pursue a pro football career. A little more than three months after the Packers had drafted him, Brown signed a baseball contract with the Washington Senators.
A two-sport star at Maryland, Brown batted .312 in spring training and played in 61 games for the Senators in 1963. A switch-hitter who could play both outfield and first base, Brown batted .147 and was shipped to York, Pa., of the Eastern League, where he played 77 games in '63 and 59 in 1964.
In July of that year, Brown abruptly quit baseball and signed with the Packers. He was tried at flanker, then cornerback before settling in at safety. In 1965, Brown beat out defensive captain Hank Gremminger for the starting job at left safety.<

At first, I was concerned that it was the Tom Brown who played on our basketball team. RIP to this individual, but I did not know him.

That's the key. It has to be an obscure person in order for one of these posts to be made.

Not that necessarily, just think it’s a generational thing. I’m 56 and didn’t know the guy. I’m not young by any means. The OP is connected to a different era.

I'm a little older and I didn't know who this was.
However he's a great trivia answer which makes him interesting to me.
