plain and simple NFL Teams don't want the Sanders Circus/drama around program.
They would if he was better. Teams have no issue drafting flashy or quirky guys. Go look at 2024. You have Caleb Williams wearing nail polish and pushing fashion trends — and no one cared. Travis Hunter said he’d retire if a team didn’t let him play offense too. And no one cared. I could go on and on.

And no one is. That’s the point. When you draft a QB in the 3rd round you’re taking a flier. Let him sit, develop, and maybe you get lucky. In the interim, he instantly becomes a weapon on the tush push.
Tush push lol yeah we are done talking football bro hahaha

Milroe is a physical freak and not a qb haha he can't accurately throw the ball. If you can't build around Sanders you definitely can't build around Milroe lol
If you are that unaware of how Milroe is viewed by the league you should probably be sitting this discussion out.

No one says Milroe is an NFL QB now. He is viewed to already have elite running QB ability, and an arm that is physically capable of making all of the throws. He is a lottery ticket that would be a huge payoff if it ever clicked for him. Even then he only warranted a late 3rd.

Sanders is not viewed as having the tools to offer much upside, but if he was Shadeur Smith without the baggage he likely would have been taken instead of Shough or Gabriel because he absolutely could be a backup QB right now.

Colin Kapernick would have gotten another starting job even with the kneeling if he was still viewed as a starter, but he was on the downside of his career and had already lost his job in SF.

Michael Vick immediately got another job after getting out of jail because he was talented enough to be a good starter.

It’s simple with Sanders. He doesn’t offer enough payoff to make it worth the baggage.

The NFL scouts are wrong on qbs all the time it's a yearly thing. Because they overrate qbs because it's such a premium position. Milroe has done nothing to warrant being a 3rd pick. How much times have we heard we are gonna take this kid let him sit only to be playing and ruined 6 months later haha look at the Richardson kid in indy lol as an example lost his job mid year super athlete and Milroe isn't better then him. They are reaching for a lottery ticket that's not there.

IIRC I believe Sanders had one more year of eligibility for college ball. Is it possible he can return for one more year to CU? Not sure how that works. At this point he may make more in NIL next season in college than he would as a mid round draft pick.

Your example proved my point. Teams are so enamored with these high potential QBs that they will spend top 5 picks on them like Richardson. Milroe is a smart version of that play because he only cost a late 3rd.

Sanders is the viewed as the exact opposite of that. Low upside.

ESPN has been promoting Sanders for weeks on their football shows. Over and over, almost as if they own shares. Don't like ESPN and I'm glad they screwed the pooch on this one.
Ok lol I watch ESPN...what do you mean they've been promoting him? He's been dropping in every mock draft consistently...mel kiper did have him as his highest rated QB prospect but in this class that's like being the tallest midget had him 29 in mock...they repeatedly stated how weak this years QB class is, idk how good cam ward even is, I don't like his throwing motion..but no one on espn was raving about shedeur skills..they say he was the most accurate QB in the nation, which he was and that he needs the right team to succeed.. he's a trending topic partly because people like you discuss how much you don't like him all the time. It's all about views and clicks so that's why he's always talked about. They talk about him on fox too, were they also part of the agenda?

Again that's what u wrote lol
Full post:

“And no one is. That’s the point. When you draft a QB in the 3rd round you’re taking a flier. Let him sit, develop, and maybe you get lucky. In the interim, he instantly becomes a weapon on the tush push.”

So, as I said, he’s a development QB but could get on the field right away for a limited role.

If NFL GM’s thought that this player was going to be an asset for their teams success SS would have been gone already. Deportment and humble is still a big selling point. Talent is great but cockiness and media BS is what killed this players 1st round possibilities. His dad was a HOF football player and a damn good baseball player . It appears he definitely depended on that fact too much. LEGENDARY for sure.

Thanks for confirming u said a qb in the 3rd round as a flier idiot statement to go along with the tush push comment

I think this has become somewhat personal we have seen far worse qbs get picked in the first round it happens every year. It's not a talent issue with him. Every year teams reach for qbs because they have insane need for 1 most important position. Even in the NFL a bunch of bad qbs continue to get chances look at the circus Aaron Rodgers has become. If u think it's a talent issue u don't know football could the kid be arrogant yes but so are many other players. There's kid with legit off the field trouble and pending court cases who get drafted every year.

Its not a talent issue.

A 25 yr old player - Tyler Shough - who was hurt so much he only finished one season out of seven but got drafted.
The Sanders family got a Scarlet Letter from the NFL.
For weeks all the draft projections had Shedeur and Cam vying for top QB in draft
Them there came an avalanche of negativity coordinated across the web.

Sanders "taps the ball" (so does Cam) and holds it too long (so does Cam according to Saban).
He's a horrible person with worst interviews all time...he's "brash" and wears his hat backwards...his father will wreck the team.
Deion lost a lot of recruits for 2024 because all the "experts" said Deion was leaving for the NFL .
I don't care that people hate the Sanders family but the idea Shedeur didn't get drafted for lack of talent is idiotic.

The league that likes to brag about getting black coaches/QBs wanted to make sure they kept some of the better ones away.

Ah man. I’m sorry. I thought you knew that no NFL team drafts a QB in the 3rd round or later as a starter. All good.

Milroe is a physical freak. Sanders is a below average athlete. He’s not big, fast, and doesn’t have a huge arm. He’s tough as nails and he’s a gunslinger. But, you don’t build franchise around those guys. They get drafted late, develop, and get a shot at some point down the road.
So you agree he's a better prospect than Gabriel?
