Anyone stop to think that it's just a meh QB draft class? Doesn't matter what their college stats were if they don't really translate well at the pro level.
It's not an average draft class for quarterbacks. Every team had Ward first, followed by Sanders, and then there was a huge drop-off. IMO, there is collusion by most of these teams to send a message to Deion more than Shedeur. There have been more questions about the QB since Ward, but this is all about sending a message of know you place.

Guy picked ahead of Shedeur is 25 years old with 7 seasons and only one full season.
Shedeur looks like Daniel Jones compared to him - ok just kidding of course Shedeur is better than Jones
Oh but Shedeur is "too brash" for a league that drafted Vontaze Burfict and endless goons/chick beaters and flex junkies.
Not everybody can be as polished as NYG's "Yung Joka" with the nose ring.
NFL is a joke - this will be a scandal.

Colluding into the 3rd round, you okay or you letting your Colorado days color your view?

Far from it. I don't like Deion Sanders, but what is taking place with his kid is wrong. Shedeur should not be punished for his father's perception.
The kid did not endear himself to anyone during the interview process. It's the same as Rodgers, they thought he was brash and cocky. Teams don't like potential locker room problems. This kid must have really blew it. Because even if they don't want to be a part of the Deion media circus, talent is talent and no way is he dropping to the third just because his dad has a huge mouth.

This is a bit tin foil hat. There is too much money to be made. Any team who thinks he can help them win and make more money is going to draft him. Full stop

And the NFL channel is getting annoying too reminding us after every pick that he wasn’t picked again

Just curious how you would know what every team QB rankings are? It's easy to go the conspiracy route, but having that type of widespread conspiracy across every franchise, owner and front office would be an extremely unlikely....especially considering the cut throat nature of NFL competition between teams AND that coach Prime appears to have some advocates among owners such as Jerry Jones.

Considering only three QBs have been select through 2 and a quarter rounds, it's clear that most teams don't think highly of these guys. It's business not personal.

I don't know the whole story, but I'm a little more informed than most here. I have friends who are in the front offices or coaches of a few organizations, and they tell me all the time how the media gets most reports wrong. Most take a bit of information and create stories when they can't get enough facts. Most people reading the stories and take it as gospel, but they shouldn't when you only hear one side of the story.
For the record, I don't like Deion Sanders for what he did to my friend Darian Hagan at CU, but I don't like what is going on with his son. Guys like Zac Wilson or Rosenbeth (sp) had tons of question marks coming into the draft, yet it was overlooked. One didn't last 3 years in the league, and the other will be out of the league in another year.

The quarterback rankings came from the NFL.com site, which collects averages from different teams.

The negative press barrage that manifested after high draft projections was not natural. I saw every excuse in the kit for turning Shedeur into a good. The coordination was obvious.

The reason I say it will be a scandal is because Prime and Colorado have acquired a huge black fan base. He not only makes success happen but he pushes players to "be men and not boys" (his words). He's a father figure to guys who never had one like him. He has other NFL players following his path to the HBCUs .

His other HOF NFL players are at Colorado because of Deion. A lot of players like Prime's religious commitment ( a reason Hunter went with him). I'm not a fan of religious jewelry but I have no doubt Prime's flamboyant style appeals to the players he gets (black churches aren't subdued).

Goodell comes from Bronxville (still lives there) which is 1.1% black. The high school graduation has limos + tuxes/gowns + pianos/harps.
I grew-up in same county and know the enclave types that roll into flavahoods and try to act cool ("How about those Knicks?").
Watching Goodell do his faux-bro, chest bumps every draft is emetic.

And now the Lord of the NFL Plantation is slapping down Ole Uppity Deion - that's not going to go unrecognized by players/fans.
The most dynamic black coach needed an NFL ice bath
Added to that was a large amount of black fans online who said the NYGs were "supremacists" who would never draft a black QB .
I never agreed with that but passing on Sanders to get a Ole Miss Rebel is just going to spice the coming commotion.
Goodell will just try to pander more but i think the genie is out of the bottle for that Boomer

You opened up a can of worms, some people don't want to believe exist.

It cannot be understated how absolutely bizarre it is to see the residents of Boulder, Colorado, walking around with Prime T-shirts on, at a school that’s barely 5% Black.
When I was at CU, the Black population was less than 1% of the 30,000 students, almost all of whom were student-athletes. They cheer for you on Saturdays, but want you gone the other 6 days of the week.

Systemic racism is real, but most can't see it because it doesn't impact them. Zac Wilson and Rosenbern (sp) were worse than Sanders, but neither received the level of scrutiny of Sanders or Lamar Jackson.

Caleb Williams and Jayden Jones went one two last year, with Michael Pennix also going in the top ten.

Zac Wilson’s final season was arguably better than Sander’s. Plus, he just has a much stronger arm.

Its coming - Stephen Smith already smells a rat and is suggesting racism.
I know a lot of fans in contemporary Colorado, CFB, NFL aren't so racist they will reject a good QB.
As you say Deion was the target.

This was so obviously a fix.
Half the NFL doesn't even know what a good QB looks like or how to coach one.
Maybe 7 teams like KC know how to coach one
Yet suddenly legions of media, coaches, fans are united to realize Shedeur is "too brash" to be a good QB.
They say he "holds the ball too long" which is what they also say about Cam - its a carnival of idiots

Exactly. Sure systemic racism is a thing but this isn’t that. There’s anti Deion sentiment and/or just poor interviewing by Shedeur.

None of those QB had Deion as their father. Shedeur is being overlooked because of hate directed at his father. You know that. Do you really think Milroe or Gabriel are better than Shedeur? Tom Brady has trained Shedeur for years and you can see the difference between him and the other QB. Not even close.

...and in 2023 three of the top four picks were black QBs.
It has to be more than the Deion factor. A NFL GM who lives and dies with the draft is going to pass on a star QB because they don't want to deal with his father or want to get back at him for some unknown reason???? Really???

Ridiculous. What will your argument be when he does finally get drafted ? Or signed as a FA? He will end up somewhere and that destroys your entire conspiracy.

No team would draft to undermine its future. A kid with two separate sex assault allegations got drafted but Deion makes Shedeur a no-go ?

Further, that’s not racism anyway. Absurdly stupid view.

One longtime NFL assistant coach said his time with Sanders was "the worst formal interview I've ever been in in my life. He's so entitled. He takes unnecessary sacks. He never plays on time. He has horrible body language. He blames teammates. ... But the biggest thing is, he's not that good." Said one longtime AFC executive: "It didn't go great in our interview. He wants to dictate what he's going to do and what's best for him. He makes you feel small." Even some of Sanders' fans expressed disappointment he didn't take a bigger step forward as a senior. "I liked him the year before," an NFC GM said. "They did change coordinators. It just felt different. It felt less athletic, less arm talent -- everything felt less. If you're talking about this year's tape versus (Jaxson) Dart and Shedeur, I don't think it was particularly close."

I'm not sure why owners would collude to "put Sanders in his place". I do think GMs likely felt the Sanders show was a distraction but that isnt illusion or injustice. It's just assessment.

I think Sanders will be an serviceable qb. He probably is as good as some of these qbs taken ahead of him. I'm pretty sure they evaluate all targets and their families for potential distraction. Sanders spent too much time hanging his head and blaming his teammates. It cost him.

He will get his shot but I dont see the motive for owners to put him in his place. That just doesnt make much sense. They are allowed to reach the sane conclusion many have already; Sanders father, son or both are a lot of personality. Personality assessment is part of evaluation.

I think Shedeur has been grossly overhyped leading to the draft, when the tools are just not there. I think he more favorably compares to a Kyle McCord as a prospect, than a top tier player.

Shedeur has a weak arm, lacks mobility and pocket presence, his feet are sloppy and doesn't read the downfield throws well enough (drinks and dunks the ball repeatedly).

Compare the stats and the skills to McCord and you will see a lot of similarities.

The guys that were picked ahead of them are way more mobile and have better arm talents. Also they don't bring the baggage of a helicopter parent with a big media presence and a player who has thrown his oline under the bus previously.

If Shedeur had better talent, he would be picked by now. People just fell for something that wasn't there in Shedeur being a top talent.

If he slipped to the 2nd round, I would buy that it was all about Prime. But if this is a first round franchise QB, a team would jump at him by this time.
This is a league that welcomed Vick back with open arms.
I believe if he did not have his Dad, he may have never been discussed as a top pick in the first place.

I think the calculus is not all that complicated. With Sanders comes the circus that is Deion Sanders, and apparently Shedeur as well. NFL teams are made up of people who work incredibly hard to try to be successful. The problem is that Shedeur's ability is not sufficiently strong to take the baggage that goes with it. If he had Cam Ward's ability, you might be willing to buy into the accompanying hype. But that doesn't seem to be the case. I think teams are looking at him and wondering, "Is this the next Patrick Mahomes, or the next Johnny Manziel."

Actually, this is not all that different than Ray Rice or Colin Kapernick. The decision was the plusses and minuses didn't work out.

Exactly, a bunch of Sanders fanboys in here that’s all. Anyone bringing up race is clueless and losses all respectability . The first player drafted was a black QB. The second player drafted was Sanders teammate who is black. I see Stephen A starting his typical race baiting BS.
I watched breakdowns of all these QB’s for a while now because my team was needing a QB. Just about all the legit draft analysts had him as a day 2 pick.
After his interviews we all heard how he bombed them. I read someone said he talks like he’s from the streets and he’s the furthest thing from that. He’s just fake.

If you're good, but not next level, it doesn't work

Deion has been very open about the fact that he wants to coach his son in the NFL. What HC wants to deal with a backup QB’s dad, who was an elite player and is all over media, publicly questioning the HC and back channeling to take his job?

Once again, the NFL drafts/signs guys who have killed people in DUIs, been to prison, sexually assaulted women, etc. They just want to win. The calculus here is that the son simply isn’t worth the head ache.
