Interesting that they took Dillon Gabriel and Sanders.
Shows u what they think of dillon and also like of said NFL teams love qb prospects if you don't have a legit qb you can't win so they are gonna always take chances on qbs. Teams reach every year early in the draft on qbs

This is mean

It's little things like this...again I guess it's because of social media and the sanders' own marketing efforts. On social media black people are always fawning over Deon, shedeur, Colorado.. they say things like "black excellence", hbcus, etc. It's like black people on social media have placed the family on a pedestal. And I get it, that's probably annoying, I'm black and sometimes I roll my eyes. But that doesn't mean I can't recognize when people are upset about that dynamic and want to burst the bubble of him being this can't miss prospect.
I don't think that's racism, I think it's human nature. Some are more extreme with it than others and it may be prejudice but I feel everyone has prejudices...Especially now, we have to begin to be honest about the feelings we have in a shared society. For too long white people were made to feel like their feelings were racist when it's just human nature. The current political climate is an example of what happens as a result of years of calling white people racist for every little thing..so I understand why some black people will say it's because of race. I doubt any black kids would do this. But ultimately that idea stems from people that don't really understand football reading into the massive amount of white people enjoying this situation and coming online to troll..

Sick of Mel Kiper, a junior college graduate and self proclaimed football draft expert who's record for predicting first rounders isn't even that good. Just STFU already.
"Here's a guy blah blah blah 4.4 40 time blah blah blah 30 reps on the bench blah blah blah great value blah blah blah ....."

It's interesting that Sanders' perceived lack of talent is a barrier to entry in a league where the likes of Tim Boyle, Skyler Thompson, Nathan Peterman, and Zach Wilson have actually started multiple NFL games with laughably bad results.
It's more that his "talent" was overhyped by many in the media when NFL scouts held much different opinions.

Kid has to go out and prove everyone wrong now.

The first three guys were understood as backup QBs playing only when needed, and they had their backup position because they didn’t bring any baggage with them.

Wilson is a dumb example because he was overdrafted due to flashing the type of throws Sanders could never make.

You do realize there have been a ton of really really really really good college quarterbacks who never did **** in the NFL before, right? Even ones who were drafted higher than Sanders was today, right?

Shedeur Sanders has better talent than being a 5th rounder makes him look like.
Hr might have been a late 1rd round to a early 3rd round choice based solely on his talent and how he preformed at Colorado's pro day.

Shedeur didn't do himself any favors shunning the East-West Shrine Bowl and claiming scouts can look at his college game tapes instead of him playing in that bowl where college players try and impress NFL scouts in order to be looked at as players worth taking in the draft..
Then there was the implications that Shedeur didn't interview well and that turned some teams away from drafting him in the early rounds..

Shedeur's fall to the 5th might not just be those things but the circus like atmosphere some teams might worry that Dion would bring if he son was drafted by them and make that circus take away from what the organization wants it's fanbase to see it as.
Dion getting upset and calling an ESPN analyst a hater because he expressed an opinion about Shedeur that wasn't complementary , even though that analyst had more good things to say about Shedeur 's college play them he found wanting,
Teams don't want every move they make with a rookie nit picked by someone who has a wide audience and will be out to protect his son's image , even if it hurts the team's goals and the way they want their fans to see them as..

The Sanders clan could bring a lot of publicity to most NFL teams, but the way Dion is reacting to how some are not saying his son is as talented as Dion wants them to say Shedeur is makes those programs worry if they draft Shedeur and how Dion will react if Shedeur isn't made like the second coming of Slinging Sammy Baugh by the team once they draft "Not Ready For Primetime"Shedeur and Dion goes on a rant against the coaching staff because of that.

Its not a talent issue.

A 25 yr old player - Tyler Shough - who was hurt so much he only finished one season out of seven but got dratted.
The Sanders family got a Scarlet Letter from the NFL.
For weeks all the draft projections had Shedeur and Cam vying for top QB in draft
Them there came an avalanche of negativity coordinated across the web.

Sanders "taps the ball" (so does Cam) and holds it too long (so does Cam according to Saban).
He's a horrible person with worst interviews all time...he's "brash" and wears his hat backwards...his father will wreck the team.
Deion lost a lot of recruits for 2024 because all the "experts" said Deion was leaving for the NFL .
I don't care that people hate the Sanders family but the idea Shedeur didn't get drafted for lack of talent is idiotic.

The league that likes to brag about getting black coaches/QBs wanted to make sure they kept some of the better ones away.

SHOUGH -DRAFTED @ #40

SANDERS - IN THE DOG HOUSE
I could be wrong but it seems to me the avalanche of negativity started when teams became able to interact with him/his camp.

None of those guys belonged anywhere near the NFL. Boyle was a bad college QB. The others were better in college, but proved that they weren't even competent at the professional level.

Where you are wrong is in thinking that “college career” is of huge importance to NFL scouts.

There have been Heisman winners who weren’t viewed as NFL prospects.

How a kid played in games is somewhat important, but play doesn’t count as much as physical tools.

People are ignoring that the short version of this saga is-

-
Sanders camp- “there are only 5 or 6 teams who Shadeur will play for”. They proceed to be non-cooperative with other teams in the predraft evaluation process

Those 5-6 teams don’t want Shedeur.

Sanders camp “why is the entire league blackballing Shadeur?”

A lot of truth in this post.

Your example proved my point. Teams are so enamored with these high potential QBs that they will spend top 5 picks on them like Richardson. Milroe is a smart version of that play because he only cost a late 3rd.

Sanders is the viewed as the exact opposite of that. Low upside.
When have these Uber athletic upside qbs panned out haha never

GM’s are saying he was the worst interview they ever had. He was making demands in the interviews. Seems like someone who needs to, but is incapable of eating or comprehend what good will come of eating, some humble pie

He’s basically Johnny Manziel, fitting he would get drafted by Cleveland.

I like the guy but GMs don’t need a bunch of rappers hanging around the locker room. Big distraction plus after a while everyone will be carrying glocks on them and you get guys copping gun charges and other BS.

Manziel was top 1 or 2 college QB’s of all time. Sanders is barely 500 as colorado starter
