10:00 am meeting tomorrow morning right outside of Baltimore in the Bayview area
Would like to stop for coffee before, somewhere relatively close (Dunkin, etc. nothing crazy)

What's a safe time to leave Monmouth County?
Figuring a 5:30 am departure would give me plenty of time - thoughts?

I have made the trip many many times from Somerville area. Our son went to University of Maryland.
Matter of fact I made the trip to Baltimore just last week. From where I am I usually take 295/95 the whole way through Philly. Traffic through Philly can be pretty bad.
I am assuming you will take the Turnpike all the way down to the Delaware Memorial Bridge and cross over to 95 after the bridge. There is usually traffic at that merge but clear sailing down to BWI after that. Leaving at 0530 should give you plenty of time for a 1000 meeting and a coffee beforehand. Usually without significant traffic the ride is 2:30- 3:00 but I always give myself extra time just in case.

Safe Travels.

Leaving at 5:30 you should be parking in Baltimore at around 8:00am.
If you have google maps, you can put in your destination, then hit 3 dots in top right, choose set depart/arrive time. You’ll get the wide range of time it normally takes people when you want to leave or arrive at your desired time.
Use Google maps in the morning. As you’re driving down, if there’s anything crazy happening like an unexpected accident, you can always go commodore Barry bridge as alternate route, especially if you’re on 295 but even if you’re in the turnpike.

Awesome, thank you
Yes, I will be going turnpike south to the Delaware Bridge

Hopefully it will be smooth sailing

I typically have Google maps and Waze on simultaneously, and then kind of compare and contrast the routes as far as a shorter one as well as any accidents

More than enough time. I’d leave 6:30

Took the advice on here, left closer to 6, pulled into Bayview area Starbucks right around 8:30 after stopping for gas. Made up some time on the Turnpike, but was careful in DE and MD as the speed traps are all over.

Should be fine leaving at 5:30am. Use Waze and take I-195 West to I-295 South, which will turn into I-95 in Delaware.

The speed traps suck once you hit Delaware. Noticed quite a few people getting their pictures taken from traffic lights as well.

KoKo’s would like a word…

Beyond this I would highly recommend avoiding Lexington Market unless your goal is to get stabbed or buy some crack
i guess i've only chatted with the crack dealers, the few that spoke to me before in the dining area were nice folk lol

Advice for the way back home? Thinking of catching a few innings of the O's day game starting at 1:05, if I leave Baltimore by 2:30, will I be fine traffic wise?

I’d recommend since the weathers gonna be gross avoid Camden yards and stop at Jimmy’s famous on your way out.

Get yourself an order of crabcake egg rolls and have a day.

If ur on 95 by 2:30 you’ll be passing Philly at 4 right at the start of Friday rush hour. I’d prolly leave around 2

I ended up leaving around 2:45. Stayed until the 5th inning, had a nice pregame with some orange crushes at Pickels, and was home by 5:30. I live in Monmouth County so it took me over the Delaware Memorial Bridge and up the Turnpike - aside from the speed traps, no issues
